HORRIBLE SERVICE! Seriously, avoid this place by all means possible and take your money and time elsewhere. Aside from the techs (who were great and efficient) the rest of the staff, especially front desk, are completely incompetent and rude. Appointments are an illusion, prepare to wait 2-5 hours to be seen. The front desk has zero concept of what proper healthcare customer service should look like. They won't give you a clear answer on your wait time or any other insurance questions you may have, and they prefer to continue their personal conversations then tend to the clients. To top it off they are running a fraudulent business. Went in for 2 ultrasounds and they required $150 up front (I have one of the best insurances in the market) and couldn't answer what for; their response? "That's what it it or you can do it elsewhere". They are in network so by contract the max they can charge me is $115, they KNOW THIS. They proceeded to bill me for over $800 of which I had paid $150 and my insurance paid $115...that is ILLEGAL!!! Their billing person, Tatiana, wouldn't take my calls for weeks. Not until my insurance representative got involved and stated the seriousness of the matter did they admit it was a "mistake". It took them over 3 months to refund me my money and I had to personally drive to them in order to pressure them to give me my check. NEVER AGAIN!!! If I could rate them lower I would. A joke of a business.

Do not come to this place. The wait is extremely long even though they supposedly go by appointment. This is very disrespectful to the patients. Will not come here again, much less refer them.

I wish I could post this with half a star. This place is HORRIBLE. I spent 3 hours and 20 minutes there today for a 15 minute MRI scan. THREE HOURS!!!!! It basically does not matter whether or not you have an appointment, they overbook and overlap appointments either way. The girls behind the counter are rude and useless. After an hour an half I asked to see why it was taking so long and how much longer I could expect to wait, the gentleman tells me he is going to go check...comes back makes eye contact with me and walks right by me as if I never asked. After hour 2 I decided to stand near the desk till I was helped. All while I made sure to contact my doctors office and let them know what was going on. FINALLY a younger gentleman decides to help me only to bring me outside to speak to me to let me know it was going to be a minimum of 40 more minutes. I was on the brink of tears because of my condition I need this scan done to help figure out what is wrong so it can be fixed. I will be filing more complaints via other review sites and social media. On top of that I will be formally requesting my Doctor to remove them from their referral list of imaging locations. They don't deserve to receive business from any doctors office rather become a free clinic run by the state because that is how they behave.

I been on the phone line waiting for more than 19 minutes just to get an appointment for the Orthopedic Department. When finally they answer the phone, the next appointment available is for January 2014, three months from now..... and this is the Miami Children Orthopedic Department that there is suppost to do the best for the children, now my child has to continue walking with pain for three more months because MCH do not offer any other option to see children sooner unless you take your child to the emergency and the Hospital charge the insurance company and then a Doctor can see your child right away....I better call another Doctor that is not with the Miami Children Hospital and have my son to be take care as soon as possible.

I second the "if zero stars were an option, that's what I would choose." This place is TERRIBLE. Way late on my appointment. Unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. DISLIKE.

Tips & Advices
Radiological exams can be either diagnostic or interventional. Diagnostic exams are intended to detect the presence of a certain condition, like a bone fracture or a tumor inside the body. Interventional radiology uses imaging techniques to assist in treating a condition, usually through surgery, but the procedure itself is not intended to have a direct impact on the outcome of the disease.
The exact process of an exam will vary depending on the specific type of imaging procedure and the goal of the test. Patients will usually be situated near a machine that will direct the appropriate form of energy to the part of the body being examined. Technicians help patients perform the necessary steps to complete the process.
Most imaging exams do not have any immediate side effects. The most important side effect of many forms of radiology is the exposure to small doses of radiation. In almost all cases, a single exam will deliver a radiation dose that is too low to have any effect, but over repeated exposure, the risk of developing cancer from this radiation increases. Radiologists take several precautions to limit exposure on behalf of patients as well as themselves and their staff.
Results from an imaging procedure may be available almost instantly (as with X-rays and ultrasound), or might take a few minutes to develop. However, in some cases it will take a radiologist additional time to analyze and report on the images collected, so results may be delayed by a few hours or days.
Radiologists can perform a variety of imaging procedures depending on their specialty. Common examples include:
  • X-rays.
  • Computed tomography (CT scans).
  • Ultrasound.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
  • Positron emission tomography (PET).
  • Interventional radiology: Using specialized imaging techniques to assist with surgery, either immediately before or in the process of a surgical procedure.
