Although I rarely write online reviews, I feel compelled to express my extreme pleasure and unwavering gratitude to Scott Ferris. Having guided me through the legal process during my rather contentious divorce, I cannot say enough about the genuine compassion and legal expertise Mr. Ferris displayed .on my behalf. Scott was so easy to confide in and it was obvious that he takes his client's best interest to heart. His staff was very friendly and helpful and Mr. Ferris was exceptionally fair when it came to the financial aspect of our relationship. I have utilized the services of several attorneys over the years, and although I found most to be competent, Mr. Ferris was on a whole different level. His experience and expertise are a t rue complement to his people skills and how comfortable he always made me feel. I would not hesitate to recommend this gentleman to anyone who may be in need of a family lawyer, or for that matter a skilled trial lawyer.

We contacted Scott on Novembers, (holiday weekend) . It was after hours and without knowing us he give us his legal advice. He agreed to see us, that same weekend. We meet at his office Sunday approximately at 7.00 pm. At that point, we felt confident; we knew then he will be our lawyer for life. He is aggressive and passionate. During the length of our case, each time we contacted him, he answered almost instantly. Great response. We will recommend Scott. He is great doing what he does. Scott is a true professional with high standards.

Excellent attorney! Helped me so much thru difficult times. Great legal adviser. Case solver like no other in Miami. Mr. Ferris makes himself available 24/7. I will never forget when I called one holiday night and Mr. Ferris abandoned his child's baseball game to take care of my emergency. He is always courteous and professional even in the most stressful times. Five stars rate to the entire staff in the office for the great job in accommodating clients like me, with a last minute's trouble.

Law Offices of Kravitz & Guerra, P.A.
The best immigration lawyer in Miami. Immigration Attorney Robert Kravitz got my green card after 4 years of pending paper work with the USCIS and terminated status. He is the best immigration attorney I will always trust. Thank you, Mr. Kravitz. I highly recommend his legal services.
Tips & Advices
Each state has different mandates on how child support is determined. But there are some basic factors that underline how costs are determined in each state, including:
  • Income level of parent that needs to pay support (in the case of joint custody, the costs are determined by income of each party and the percentage of time the child spends with each parent)
  • Financial needs of child
  • Child’s standard of living before the divorce occurred
This is a divorce in which one party does not have to prove that the other’s actions lead to a deterioration of the marriage. The reason for divorce is listed as "irreconcilable differences" or an "irreparable breakdown of the marriage,” meaning the marriage was no longer working and could not be repaired.
Family law attorneys are helpful in cases where the two parties are not on amicable terms. The lawyers can act as intermediaries between the two parties and help them come to any settlement agreements, however long that may take. Lawyers can also help parties navigate tricky state laws regarding settlement agreements and child custody, thus expediting the process.
A contested divorce is one in which the parties cannot agree on either the necessity of the divorce as a whole, or how assets (money, property, etc.) and child custody should be split between them in the divorce. An uncontested divorce is when the parties are in agreement on how assets and child custody will be split between them. These divorces can sometimes be handled without hiring a lawyer.
It is possible for a couple to get a divorce without hiring a family law attorney. If the two parties are in agreement on how finances, child custody, properties, etc., will be split, then they can file the necessary court documents themselves and avoid the services of a lawyer.
