I have used MANY plumbers during the course of my lifetime. Each one no better than the rest - UNTIL I came across Falcon plumbing. I had a unique situation [unique to me, that is] since I was receiving HUGE water bills on my rental property located in Miami. I have, in the past, called many other plumbing companies and every time I received the quarterly water bill from WASD, the issue and huge bills had NOT been resolved [despite my having spent thousands of dollars to have faucets replaced, toilet flappers replaced, toilets rebuilt etc over the course of many years. I could go on and on] . Enter Falcon Plumbing. I spoke to Wendy to set up the appointment. She is extremely well spoken and professional. Since I live in NY - there is the additional hardship of NOT being present when the plumber visits the premises. Their plumber arrived on time and called me as soon as he found the problem and then told me exactly what the main source of the leak [i.e. hidden underground leak] He was VERY clear on what the issue was. He called me again after he had inspected the inside of my duplex home and repaired another issue while at the same time being VERY conscious this was a rental property and cost WAS an issue. This service call was done on March 20th, 2013. It is now June 25th, 2013 and I am writing this review 3 months later because I had to see with my own eyes what the next WASD water bill would be like - I admit to still being skeptical since I have gone through so many plumbers for this 'leaky' matter. My June bill was tremendously reduced and I now KNOW for a fact that Falcon plumbing is indeed a reputable company and they stand behind their services. Falcon Plumbing EVEN went back to the home 2 months later and prepared a letter VERIFYING that there were NO leaks in my home since WASD incorrectly stated otherwise when they went to follow-up with a meter reading and wanted 'further proof' the repair had been made [despite my sending WASD photographs, and an invoice to demonstrating the repair had been made and was final] I would call Falcon again in a heartbeat [and have this week for an entirely different issue]. I take issue with the 1 one-star review here and simply believe it a result of a customer misunderstanding. Falcon is prepared to assist and do what is needed to make sure you become a repeat client. They have demonstrated to me they that want happy customers and they stand behind their work, and that is why they continue to receive such rave reviews on other sites such as Home Adviser. Other reviews here also do not mention is that Falcon Plumbing has a A+ rating with the BBB. This significant piece of information should not go unmentioned. I will close by saying that I do NOT like to write reviews and personally I don't have the time to write them. This is one case where I will make an exception because I believe credit is due and they need to be commended for the high bar they set.
Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Roto-Rooter has come to my house several times, sometimes on an emergency basis, & has done great work. Most recently, 1 tech (Humberto) came out at around 10 pm to look at a leaking pipe, & the next day Aloys (technician 970) came out (assisted by Leo the 1st time, with some help from Francisco) & performed what turned out to be more-extensive-than expected repairs both inside the wall & outside the house (replacing a faulty shut-off valve). They did great work, it was a very fair price considering the extent of the work, & they stuck to their estimate even when the work turned out to be more involved than expected (which has been the case on at least 1 other occasion). They got my water turned back on by the end of that day, which was a great relief. The outdoor shut-off valve ended up with a lot of hidden problems that weren't visible until he opened up the old valve/pipe, & he & Leo spent a hot few hours making sure the water came on before dark. A week later, Aloys came back to do a quick, temporary fix of some very old, leaking fixtures in the shower/tub (which will allow me a bit of time to be able to pay for the bigger, long-term fix that is necessary), & he (once again) was here quickly, did an amazing job (again, at a very fair price -- he put in a lot of time & didn't charge much), was very personable/considerate. The fixtures are very old, with nothing replaced on them/in them (gaskets, seats, cartridges, stems, etc.) for at least the 14 years I've lived in the house. I was very happy he was able to provide the temporary fix until I can pay for, & allow time for, replacement of the faucets, diverter, etc. I've had great experiences with other techs, too -- off the top of my head, I can think of one's name (Marlon) who came out on an emergency basis & diagnosed what was causing a washing machine to back up into my kitchen sink, then spent several hours clearing out an old, narrow, hard-to-reach pipe with decades of hard-water buildup that was causing the problem. Plumbing emergencies can (obviously) be stressful & financial nightmares, and I've been very happy with Roto-Rooter. I recommend the company (and I highly recommend Aloys, Marlon, Leo, and although I had less experience with them, I also recommend Humberto & Francisco).

4/2/2015Company: "Roto-Rooter Plumbing"Plumber dispatched: Aloys; Badge Number: 970--Satisfied Customer--Issue: Downstairs toilet would overflow into the living room creating our own personalized Lake Okeechobee.Resolution: Proper snaking and camera investigating revealed that construction work done by a company hired by AT&T damaged the piping connecting our home with the city's main pipe. The construction company miscalculated and bore a cable through the PVC pipe. The cable would act as a blockade for incoming toilet paper, causing it to accumulate and create a clog. Luckily, the snaking removed the clog; however, not until the PVC pipe is replaced and cable removed can we resume utilizing toilet paper. Take note that the remainder of the more than likely arduous work will be handled by "Roto-Rooter" and their professionals. Which leads me to the overview..Overview: If you're a distressed reader with any sort of plumbing issue/dilemma, and are hesitant to make the call -- your prayers have been answered! Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I called on a Monday morning after the landlady from the unit below me called to say her tenant had water leaking into her bathroom. When I called around 10:30 a.m.I was told that they would place my call as an emergency call. They said they could arrive between 11 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. At 1:30, I called to check the status of the call. I was told that the plumber that had experience in the issue I was having was at another job and would come to my condo as soon as he was done. The lady was not very nice. I had to explain to her that the tenant had to be at work at a certain time and we would not have access to her unit once she left. I was literally told, "I don't know what to tell you, he has to finish his other job." Luckily, the plumber Rafael #3619, did make it before 3:00 p.m. The tenant was still home and we were able to resolve the issue, quickly. I did have to pay for the assessment $271.00. Which is not a bad price. I called other plumbers in my area and the average cost to come out was about $300 for an assessment. At the end of the day there was only a small, slow leak that could be fixed by my husband. Rafael was very knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and gave us tips on how to resolve the problem. In Miami I am very weary of plumbers that make up an imaginary problem and charge an arm and a leg to "fix" it. I am glad that it was nothing major, thank God!!! If I ever run into another plumbing issue I will definitely use Roto-Rooter again. You have experienced plumbers working for you. My experience was a good one! Thank you Rafael!
It disturbed me to read the couple of negative reviews here. Having had to deal with several professional contractors in my time, I can only think of a couple that fulfilled their promises and commitments as well as Falcon Plumbing. From my setting up an appointment to the completed job, things could not have gone smoother. Excellent service, professionalism, cleanliness, price quoting, scheduling, courtesy, etc., I am so pleased to know I now have trustworthy plumbing service anytime I may need it. I researched the company thoroughly before calling them; however, I was still amazed that there was no "false" advertising whatsover. Finding a contractor with this kind of service is very difficult to come by in this day and age. for anyone who thinks their prices are out of line, think again. This is the 21st century! Thank you, Shane, for taking excellent care of my problem.Diane L.
