George's Plumbing
So back on June 26, 2017 George's plumbing came out to check on a leak from my shower that was leaking into my closet. I was contacted prior to the service call and was told their best guy would be coming out to check on the situation. He was the most senior person they had and if he couldn't fix it, then it couldn't be fixed. He came out and looked for about 5 mins at the several knobs I have that control side jets, rain shower and handle sprayer and couldn't identify the name brand of my shower system. He didn't bother to see where the leak might be coming from or take off any of the handles to even look in the valves. He left and said he would write up a proposal to fix it. Turns out that proposal was to replace the whole system at a cost of $3000. Since then i have had several other plumbers come out to give quotes on replacing the whole system since that's what I was told needed to be done and I wanted to make sure $3000 was a fair quote. Then one plumber finally asked "why are you replacing this?" and he took a few minutes found the problem very quickly. He Identified the manufacture of the system as Legacy Brass, took out two valve stems to inspect and found that the leak was coming from a bad solder T in the wall.. Fixed that up real quick and literally saved my thousands of dollars. As for George's master plumber.. I understand companies want to make money, but by not doing his due diligence in even looking for the actual problem, he tarnishes the reputation of himself and his employer. I would not recommend George's plumbing Sincerely George Garnand

Earl's Plumbing & Heating
ATTN: home buyers, agents, loan originators, and fellow home inspectors. DO NOT HIRE Earl's Plumbing to come out for underslab video inspections.Earl's Plumbing (Mike) came out to do a video inspection for me ($250) before i decided to purchase a home and said there were no breaks in the underground plumbing. Upon selling this property, another company (hy-tech, that i would recommend)found two breaks under the slab.I called Earl's plumbing to rectify the situation and they took no ownership and left us with a mess from total incompetence on their part. Please save yourselves and/or your clients from this happening to them. Stay as far away as you can from this plumbing company. Please share this so that this does not happen to others.

Great Plumbing Company!! I was in need of a plumber because my sink was leaking. Montalbano plumbing was out to the house within 2 hours. They were able to identify that my garbage disposal was the culprit and had any extra on hand. 20 minute repair!!

St. Romain Plumbing
I contacted Mr. St. Romain several months ago over a weekend because we had a broken hot water heater. Initially, Mr. St. Romain made a very good impression on my husband and me. He got what we needed at a decent price and installed the new hot water heater. He left without taking the old one with him and said he would be back later the following week to remove it for an additional $75. My husband and I texted and left several voice mail messages for Mr. St. Romain, asking him to come remove the old hot water heater, but he failed to respond to any calls or messages that we left. Most unprofessional.

Traina C T Plumbing And Mechanical
This review is an honest first hand account of my one and only experience. Truth be told. I'd be more than happy to write a good review but in this case it's the opposite. The owner Gary Traina quoted me a price for a "clean out" which would take approx an hour. He quoted me at $130.00. So I figured it would be in the ballpark give or take a few bucks. Long story short..the guys came to the house prompltly and willing to do the job, but once they got started they realised they didn't have enough cable to complete the job. The workers said that another co-worker took some of the cable off the truck (days earlier) and didn't return it . So they called another co-worker who was on the road to bring them more cable (snake) to finish the job. So the down time (wait time) was approx. 30 min. Once the guy arrived the job was complete shortly after. So the total time they were at the residence was 1 1/2 hrs. (30 min. Of wait time) keep in mind. When I recieved the bill 3 weeks later it was $335.00 !!!! You can imagine my reaction. I called and complained about the bill to the owner (Gary) and questioned his original verbal quote and told him the total work hours was an hour. After going back and fourth with me he cut the bill to $195.00 (which is the only positive to this story). What a scam this guy is. Never take someone for their word. This is a perfect example of that. You will be taken advantage of if you don't speak up for what's right and question when something is wrong. And customers should not have to deal with that.

Tips & Advices
The following tools and common household objects can be used to clean drains at home:
  • A plunger
  • A drain snake
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Grease-fighting dish soap
Homeowners can mix boiling water with any of the last three products to break up grease and grime.
The main ingredients in clog removal liquid products are sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, both break down into relatively harmless components when it comes into contact with water or soil. However, both substances cause mild irritation to skin and internal tissues.
Also known as a drain auger, a drain snake is a coiled device around ¼-inch thick. To use a drain snake, put the end into the entrance of the drain. Turn the handle to force the snake deeper, using extra pressure to force it through the bend in the pipe. Keep turning until the snake hits the clog, then either pull the snake and remove the obstruction or force it through. Once the snake is out of the drain, run the water on full blast for a few minutes to ensure the obstruction is completely removed.
Plungers don't damage residential pipes, but the force created by the act of plunging weakens the seal between the toilet and the floor.
Many plumbers, both local businesses and nationwide chains, offer emergency or same-day services.
