Body Mechanix Massage and Wellness
It was recommended to me by my Doctor to find a massage specialist. Being in sales, driving every week and living a fast paced life has reeked havoc on my muscles due to stress. With chronic tightening of neck muscles and a false trip to the emergency room of having a tight chest muscle and a pain down my arm, Led my doctor to direct me to a massage specialist. Although my Doctor could not or did not know whom to recommend. I was armed with literally looking in the phone book. My doctor told me it would take probably numerous massage therapist before I found the right person. Well i can share with you my doctor was finally wrong!!!I found Body Mechanix Massage and could not be happier. The years of experience and the study of muscle by the staff is staggering. They take the time to ask you questions in what your looking for as it pertains to your Massage and Wellness. I have also sent others there whom have been to other places via Christmas gift cards or in a mall. Needless to say they too are not looking to go anywhere else. What a great place and I could not be happier in the attention to care provided to me. I will be back and again highly recommend this place for those looking for a solid muscle massage.

Body Mechanix Massage and Wellness
Been suffering with lower back pain and have tried everything but massage therapy. Just reading on the internet and coming across this thought it could not hurt to try. All I can say is money well spent. Went in there with a headache on top of all the other pain and that headache was gone in the first five minutes. The back pain which was the main reason for going was significantly reduced and now at day two is still much better. Will be back in two weeks to keep the treatment going. The therapist was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. Looking forward to my next visit.

Southshore Physical Therapy
I had knee replacement & started PT in less than a week. They were great. Set up a great program. When I had other issues adjusted my program. Celebrated my progress & encouraged if I felt I wasn't progressing fast enough. Rachael is the best pushed me but I'm so glad she did. I live PT & this company. Everyone speaks & knows you by name. I could go closer to my home but I drive 1.5 hours one way. Not sure I would be this advanced if I was somewhere else.

Body Mechanix Massage and Wellness
I've been working out more lately and trying to build up my neck and shoulder muscles and was experiencing a lot of soreness. Lydia was great. She really worked those sore muscles but was also gentle enough for me. I am very sensitive and don't like intense massage. I would definitely return to Body Mechanix.

Metairie Therapy Center
I would highly recommend Mika for muscle pain relief and other injury rehabilitation message therapy. I found her far more knowledgeable in therapeutic and stress relief techniques than others here in town.

Tips & Advices
At the first appointment with a physical therapist, Expect an overall assessment of your condition, which may include exercises to understand your range of motion, balance, and strength. Based on that information, the therapist can then design a regimen.
Physical therapists can work in a variety of environments. While many choose to work in a physical therapy clinic, others will operate out of hospitals and are also able to make house calls to help patients who need in-home assistance and rehabilitation.
Physical therapists can specialize in sports medicine, women's health, geriatric, neurologic, orthopedic, pediatric, and cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, among others.
See a physical therapist following a serious muscle or bone injury, especially if pain doesn't go away within a few days, is recurring and dull, or is frequent and sharp. Book an appointment if medication is not helping or if your doctor recommends it.
The majority of health insurance plans do include physical therapy treatment, but the amount covered and the co-pay for patients varies person-to-person. Medicare and workers’ compensation both cover physical therapy.
