Firstly, although I read a lot of restaurant reviews, I have never felt the urge to write one… until now.My bride and I happened to be staying overnight in the hotel adjacent to the Osaka Japanese Steakhouse, Sushi, & Bar. Coincidentally, it happened to be our 29th wedding anniversary. (My wife had to fly out of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport early the following morning

This was our first time at this restaurant. We went with some friends. All four of us enjoyed our food. My steak was very good. The bread was yummy! The service was great. Our waiter was Ace Earl and he was friendly, helpful and very professional. We would definitely come back again.

Our bunco group went here for our Christmas dinner and the food and service was great. The two Waiter that served us were polite and efficient.. We did have to wait nearly 45 minutes for a table, but that is expected with a large group on a Saturday night...but all and all a pleasant experience.

I just recently went out to eat with my family. We went to BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse on Power Rd and Superstition Springs Blvd. This is one of my favorite places to eat. On the inside of the restaurant, it is very spacious and is decorated with an industrial theme. The walls are covered in red bricks and in the center of the back wall; there is a large painting of men forging steel beams. Four stainless steel and glass garage doors separate one third of the restaurant from the rest. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. In addition to a wide selection of entrees, they also brew their own line of beer in-house.\r We were seated in a booth near the bar as soon as we walked in. The service that night could have been better. My only complaint was that our drinks were empty for most of the meal: which was weird because it was a Tuesday night at 7:00 pm and the restaurant was only ¾ full. However, it was the first time that I had witnessed subpar service; it is usually amazing. \r For an appetizer, we ordered one seared Ahi tuna and for the main dish, we ordered their Chicago-style deep-dish buffalo chicken pizza. When the appetizer arrived, we were all amazed anon how small it was. Its flavor was good but it was too small even for appetizer. Lucky for us BJ’s Chicago-style deep-dish buffalo chicken pizza was not far behind. \r What makes this pizza so unique is the crust: it is almost a full inch thick while remaining light and airy. It is topped with buffalo sauce, cheese, onions, grilled chicken, ranch dressing, and celery, as well as other seasonings and spices. The pizza was so fresh and the taste was not like any pizza I have ever had.\r We topped the night off with a cookie ice cream dessert called a “pizookie”. I have eaten at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse many times and I highly recommend it if you have never been there. \r

I could eat there everyday! The Mango Chicken Salad, Stuffed Queso, Beef Tacos, and when they have their specials, be still my taste buds! I am usually too full for dessert so a special trip has to be made for the FLAN!!!!! So Good!\r We also make a special trip just for the chips and salsa for every party and family event and sometimes just because. I only wish we had one closer, but it is SO worth the drive!

This is a great place to eat with homemade pizza, hand-thrown and great salads and sandwiches too. The tomatoe-basil soup is delicious and as a Vegan I can even eat the Vegetariano sandwich or salads or the Muffeletta with a portabella mushroom! Nice downtown Mesa location, not open too late so late so call for hours. Very nice people own it, sometimes you need to wait a bit as everything is made to order

Yah, like other Roadhouse Grills. The atmosphere is good. Service is good. The food is pretty good across the board. I have had better Steaks but for the family to go to and have a good night, they are a great local place to go to. Kids love the peanuts and it's just nice place to unwind. They have a really good Porterhouse if you want a big steak. A loaded baked potato is great with the bread. It's just one of those local places that you enjoy going to. At least this is true for me.

From the second we walked in the door the aroma was so... Amazing! Then was given a sample of the spicy cheddar sausage which was so tantalizing from the scent but to actually have a slice, no I needed that as part of the meal! With that and their delicious pulled pork I had my choice of several side items and went with the green beans which made a perfect trifecta. And their home tea was very good, and I could have even had soft serve ice cream, but they already made me stuffed, next time though!

Charleston’s is a very classy restaurant for a reasonable price. Most of their meals are in the range of 10-20 dollars a plate. Their menu also has a good variety of excellent food. They serve everything from burgers, steaks and salads. Once again it was time to put Charleston’s to the test. My birthday was here and I wanted a good meal for a descent price. So Saturday November 7th my wife and I made the trek from Tempe to Stapley and Baseline. As soon as we arrived the hostess greeted us immediately. As it was around 3:00pm we were offered to be seated instantly. We were about to get a table when I heard some funky 70’s disco music coming from the bar, and opted to sit there instead. Immediately, cold water and menus were provided and the waitress introduced herself. I wanted to go all out so I decided to order an appetizer, so I decided to try the Spinach Artichoke Dip. Within seven to eight minutes the appetizer arrived and we were ready to order. I decided to try the Grilled Chicken and Avocado Sandwich. The Spinach Artichoke dip was amazing. It was made with Parmesan cream sauce, spinach and artichoke. The appetizer was also served with fresh tortilla chips and two sides of sour cream and salsa. The dip was big and had the perfect mix of creamy spinach and artichoke. I really like how all three of the main ingredients didn’t overpower each other. The appetizer was also steamy and fresh, I rate this as excellent. Within 15 minutes of receiving our appetizer our main meals arrived. My Chicken and Avocado Sandwich was huge. It had a side of fries and the waitress even remembered to bring a side of ranch with it. My meal had toasted bread, blackened chicken breast, avocado, bacon, sprouts, tomato, melted Swiss and honey-mustard. I can say that not only was the sandwich huge, but it was incredible. The chicken was moist instead of dry, and all the ingredients tasted very fresh. I think the mixture of blackened chicken breast, honey-mustard, and avocado is perfect. The chicken was slightly spicy balanced with a tangy taste from the mustard. I give the cook two thumbs up for this masterpiece. The fries on the other hand were terrible. Even though I was pleased the ranch was provided, they were stale and skinny. They tasted like they had been made an hour earlier. The waitress did ask if everything was good, but with the size of my sandwich, and all ready eating an appetizer, I deemed it unnecessary to complain about them. I have to say that I am very pleased with Charleston’s as a classy affordable restaurant. They have great service and excellent food. I would still give them five stars with the stale fries. I have been there before and the fries were always good previously. The drinks always stayed topped off and the waitress doesn’t interrupt you while you are having a conversation with your party. If you want to get good food at a reasonable price Charleston’s is the place to go.

We were in Mesa for a conference and were looking for a good place to eat. The restaurant is very deceiving from the outside :) IT was the best Thai food me and my colleagues ever had. Great Pad Thai, great curry, and there was a certain noodle dish that we can't quite remember the name but it was the best of all!!!! friendly staff too!

It's unfortunate that both previous reviewers had a unsatisfactory experience at Cornish Pasty and it appears they were both present for the same dining experience. I don't think it's fair to have this amazing restaurant judged unfairly by one table, so I'll offer my thoughts! I feel that Cornish Pasty is an excellent restaurant with a unique atmosphere. Every person I have taken there loves the food and the beer, and its become the restaurant of choice amongst my friends for get-togethers. The restaurant offers an extensive menu for the customer, filled with unique pasty recipes that will satisfy every style and flavor imaginable. There's traditional pasties such as shepherd's pie and peppered steak to spicy Indian, Italian, and Cajun flavors. Just don't forget what you're ordering... pasties originated as warm meals on the go for English miners, so if you go in expecting a more traditional ""Americanized"" menu you will be disappointed. However, if a laid back pub atmosphere is more your style, this place is fantastic. Also, I recommend reading the reviews for their location in Tempe as well. Since it's so close to ASU, that seems to be their more popular location.
