My husband and I chose a consultation with WLIA for lap-band surgery based off the recommendations from other nurses and they were right! From the moment we walked in the door, you could see from all the little touches that this doctor's office was different. About half of the chairs in the lobby were build for larger folks which was a relief for anyone that has had the horrible experience of trying to be comfortable in a chair that is too small. The office staff had told us in advance that our appointment would be about two hours long and so we expected to spend some time there. They showed us into a consultation room and over the next 2 hours we saw a medical assistant who took my husband's medical history and drew blood, spoke with the financial advisor, the dietitian, and the surgeon. It was wonderful to accomplish in one visit what would normally take 4. My husband and I would certainly recommend them to others.

Fry's Pharmacy
I have 16 RX with this pharmacy all of them are on automatic refill but they miss one or two every month and I sometimes do not catch it till. I am low or almost. Out I relily on. Them. That is why I put on. Them. On. Automatic. Refill. The. Staff that has. Been. There for. Along. Time. Are good. And. Even know my. Name. But. The. System. Has to work better it is very much inconvenient. For me. To remind them that a RX has not been filled or. Yo get. A reminder call that RX is ready. And it is not when I get there

WLIA walked me through the entire process. From my PreOp Diet, to the day of surgery, and to the present - 2 years later and 90 pounds down! I have nothing negative to say about WLIA and their team. Do yourself a favor and give them a call. They can help with any questions you have. Remember it is a process, its not overnight weight loss. We are here to get healthy and active. Make sure you go to a support group when you need extra motivation!

I feel so lucky to have found WLIA. I had gone to other consultations but after my first experience with the staff at WLIA I did not look any further. During what seemed to be confusing pre-op requirements, the staff were always on had to assist - making the process go smoothly. I had the Gastric Sleeve done 07/23/15 and have been happy with the initial results and the support of the WLIA staff.

Tips & Advices
A meal replacement is a substitute for a meal, typically a drink or a bar. While processed meal replacements have a set number of calories, many are high in added sugar and low in protein, fiber and healthy fats.
Appetite suppressants, like all drugs, have side effects, so read the fine print and discuss potential side effects with a medical professional before taking them. Stimulant-type drugs can cause insomnia, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, drug dependence and abuse, and withdrawal symptoms. Drugs that work to prevent fat absorption can cause gas, soft stools, and oily spotting. Diet pills that affect neurotransmitters are associated with headache, nausea and vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, and dizziness.
People generally lose weight gradually and steadily (about 1 to 2 pounds per week) if they stick to a calorie-controlled plan. Increasing exercise can increase weight loss.
Medical weight loss is supervised by a medical professional and targets the causes of obesity and weight gain. Treatments can run the gamut, from diet and nutrition to pills and surgery, but the goal is to help the patient achieve and maintain a healthy weight for life.
Many people can see results in one to two weeks if they stick to their plan. Weight loss results vary from person to person and depend on factors such as starting size and caloric intake level. Including exercise in the program can accelerate weight loss.
