Sweet Mountain Air Cooling & Heating
Don't use these guys. They may do good work, but their business management is awful. They repaired my AC in 9/14, but never informed AHS that I had paid the service fee. So, now I'm getting collection notices from AHS, who is going to cut off my account. We've called Sweet Mountain FOUR TIMES to confirm that I paid the fee. (Yes, I paid it, have the cancelled check and the invoice.) He never calls them back to get it cleared off, and AHS won't just take my word for it. Like I said, he needs basic business management help, and until he gets it, stay away.

A C Doctors
I called A/C Doctors because my air condition was down, and they were at my front door in less than an hour of my call in. They were the second company I had out to diagnose my unit. A technician from a different company had come out and told me I needed a new compressor. The Technician from A/C Doctors was able to put a hard start kit on and repair the compressor. I was so happy with their work. It is hard to find a service company with integrity, and now that I have, they will have my business for life!ThanksMichelle W.

Chapman's Mesa HVAC Solutions
Bill was extremely friendly and knowledgeable when it came to replacing our heater. His team was also friendly, clean, and courteous during the few hours that they were here performing the work. They were very thorough in ensuring that all things worked before leaving and also made sure that no mess was left behind. What impressed me was their ability to work in very small and cramped spaces without leaving any sort of damage or mess in the surrounding walls.

Mesa HVAC
Realized our 15-yr-old A/C unit stopped working during a heat wave and was desperately calling around to find a place that'll be able to stop by for service ASAP. The guys at Your Appliance were able to give us the soonest available 3 days out, early in the AM. Appointment was confirmed via email and they showed up on time. Problem was diagnosed and solved within the hour. They also warranty their work for a year!

Cox Brothers A/C Solutions
Michael was Amazing in his work, he was on time, courteous , hard working and very polite! I haven't seen this type of person and service in a long time! He was meticulous in his work and cleaned up each area like he wasn't even there. I would highly recommend him for any duct cleaning service that is needed. His manager should feel privileged to have a worker like him!Thank you Michael for a truly wonderful job!

Weather Masters Inc
Used Weather Masters in March 2014 to repair AC unit with fan not blowing. The service was good. They replaced a bad relay. The bill was too high but when I brought it to their attention they acknowledged their mistake and sent a refund for the difference. They can be trusted to do the right thing. Cindy in the office is very nice to deal with. I will definitely use them again when needed.

Sears Appliance Repair
The repairman was very polite. He did not have a replacement ice maker to install. Said it would take a week to get a new one. It just so happens that a few years ago Sears sent me an ice maker in the mail and the repairman had one on his truck, so I had a spare for this repairman to use on 6-7. Also, no phone call in advance of him showing up, not even in a sears labeled truck.

Sears Appliance Repair
The appointment was easy to set up. The repair woman came at the beginning of the 4 hour time slot, listened to the troubleshooting I had already done, quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired my Kenmore water softener. Good job! HOWEVER, the problem was a design flaw and the unit is just over a year old. It needed a work-around to overcome the issue. Not so good.

Ferguson's Mesa Express HVAC
These guys installed my furnace about 6 years ago. Now we got a city inspector who among other things found that there was a fire stop missing during installation. I called the company and they sent somebody to come out the following day. He installed the fire stop quickly and without a charge! These guys are amazing! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Tips & Advices
Aftermarket replacement parts can be perfectly safe and reliable, but be sure to do your research. If replacing a more integral piece, such as washing machine’s water pump or a thermostat for a busted water heater, it might be best to purchase new.
Replacement parts generally come with warranties extending anywhere from 30 days to five years, depending on the original price, the nature of the fix and the age of the part itself.
If you’re seeking new parts repair companies will generally mark up their prices slightly--particularly at a major national retailer. However, used parts are typically discounted.
Cheaper used appliance parts can be found online or at many local, independently owned retailers, along with ecommerce sites such as eBay. Major retailers, however, generally limit their selection to unused, full-priced options.
Second-hand appliance parts are generally anywhere between 50-75% cheaper than new ones, but warranties might not extend as long and the parts may be less reliable or come with a shorter lifespan. Be sure to research the source of any second-hand parts to ensure the dealer is reputable and the part itself reliable.
