Steele-Guiltner Tire Pros
I have been using Grimes Tire Pros (Steele-Guiltner) for over 10 years. They have worked on all of my automobiles both foreign and domestic. They also have a great selection of tires in all price ranges. James Weatherly and the staff are always friendly and professional. They analyze the issue and promptly call with a diagnosis. In this day and age, it is difficult to fully trust automobile repair shops. I can honestly say, I trust the repair or tire information I receive from James. He is great at telling you what needs to be repaired immediately, what repairs can wait, and what repairs will help your car operate more efficiently. I will continue to recommend Grimes Tire Pros to friends and associates.

Gateway Tire & Service Center
I RARELY write reviews, but this place deserves a high-five. We picked up a nail on our cross country trip, Firestone up the street had a 2 HOUR wait so we headed down the road hoping to find a place that could get us in more quickly so we could get back on the road. Gateway at this location was TERRIFIC! They fixed it immediately, and gave my stunned husband a handshake instead of a bill. Then, my son left his backpack w/computer in the waiting area, and when we returned, it was safe and sound waiting for us.We are grateful for their kindness. They earned our loyalty :-)

Cowboy Junior Tires
Cowboy is a stand-up guy! Even though the tire shop is located in an area that some may deem course, he shines through! This is the first Tire Shop that places the needs and expectations of it's clients first! If you're looking for a deal on quality tires, look no further! After you're done shopping around for a quote, call Cowboy! I bet that he could beat it hands down!

Gateway Tire & Service Center
Stopped by with a car with a.c. problems, told it would be a 39.00 service. Went to pick-up car and was told it needed more work than the 39.00 service. They did not charge me for the work they did since it would not fix problem. I am gratefull for the work they did and an analysis to repair said problem.

Big R Car Care Center Inc
I presented them with a tricky problem. They looked it over and recommended the best and most economical thing. They checked with me before doing it. They were great workers, fair, quick, pleasant...everything. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or better work.

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
