These guys (DeAngelo and Cooper) were absolutely incredible! They worked fast and were very, very efficient in their moving techniques! Here's how it went down:First I scheduled my moving date with an extremely professional and friendly fella named Drew! He called to confirm the date and time a few days ahead! On the day of the move-the movers checked in with me to let me know they were en route and were headed my way about 15-20 minutes before the agreed time! (They were coming from a move in Olive Branch so they kept an open line of communication w/ me in case traffic caused a time delay) Awesome thus far? (Yes, I know)Here's where the magic happened:They disassembled my furniture, moved my already packed boxes, loaded everything into the truck, drove across town from Bartlett to Collierville, unloaded the truck, reassembled my furniture and moved all of the boxes all in 2.5 hours! They didn't break, scratch or dent anything-furniture or walls! Did I mention, they moved me from a 2nd floor apartment to a 3rd floor apartment at a new complex?! Talk about breakin' a sweat, but they didn't stop, rest, or take a break! I purchased a $99 2-hour Living Social deal and ended up paying a little extra for going over 30 mins but it was worth it! If you are apprehensive about Moving Companies or stressed about moving and have extra cash to spare-invest in All Star Moving and Delivery! You won't regret it! They are courteous, professional and make moving a piece of cake! They rock and whenever I move again-I will definitely be using their services again! 5 stars just isn't enough for this moving company!

I recently came to Memphis to help my daughter move into her new apartment. After making several phone calls, I called and spoke with Drew at Allstar Moving, who was very friendly and helpful with assisting in our moving needs. Drew asked us several questions and at the end, gave us the most reasonable quote that we received throughout the day. We scheduled our move for a couple of days later and the movers showed up (actually 10 minutes early) when they were supposed to be there. They disassembled the larger items that we had and moved everything down two flights of stairs efficiently and with great care. I was surprised that they were able to maneuver the tricky turns on the stairs without hitting anything, but they never had a problem. When they arrived at my daughter's new apartment, they worked just as hard getting everything moved in as they did moving everything out. They helped her arrange her large furniture items without any complaints. I know my daughter will definitely use them again if she needs to move and I wish this company was available for me in Hawaii when I get ready to move later this year.

I booked All Star using a Living Social deal. The deal itself was good to start with. I had quite a bit to things to move, and was worried about my moving experience. My last movers scratched and dented my items, did not complete my move, and broke many of my belongings. Today, I was sent 2 of All Star's best!!! Jonathan and Michael erased all doubt from my mind within the first 30 minutes! These guys were organized in loading, moved all my items without 1 scratch, and did not stop moving during a 5 hour move! During this entire move, I did not hear any complaining at all. I would recommend this company to anyone!! This is most definitely a company with integrity. I am extremely happy with my services from All Star! I would definitely use them again.

Smiley's Professional Moving Company
I moved from Jackson Tn to Lakeland Tn. The guys were nice. They did leave some of my things on the breeze way. They broke my tv stand and had an attitude about replacing it. I moved on July 2 and I have yet to receive a call about my tv stand. I purchased an extra insurance that covered my electronic items but I haven't had a call or anything. The price was reasonable but it you use them just but fragile items in your car. They don't really care about your things just the money.

Excellent movers fast affordable and careful with all material.They wrapped all my furniture and were very careful. They were very professional and maintained professionalism with us. They were very expeditious for the time they moved me there were not any damages to my furniture. I asked them if they had a furniture marker to fix a few scratches that prior movers had placed on my last move and they fixed it without further charge. Was greatly pleased thank you again...

Very professional, courteous and nice folks. I got them for a move from Memphis to Dallas. All went smooth and on time with no damage.Would certainly use them again in future for any move and would highly recommend them for any one looking for a reliable, honest mover.Yes, they take half of the payment before they start loading and the rest half on the destination before they start offloading.

Smiley's Professional Moving Service was great!!! This was my first time using a moving company & I've heard some horror stories so I have to admit, I was a little nervous. They were on time, fast, efficient, & affordable. Also, they were very professional. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for your next move.

Overall, pretty good moving service. They were 15 minutes late and took 4 hours to move my 2br apartment. I don't have any other moving service to compare it to so, you be the judge. They were professional and did not do any damage to my current townhouse. I would use them again.
Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
