Aurora Chiropractic Clinic
Dr. Richard relieved my neck & upper back pain the very first visit. After surfing the last hurricane swell (2017) & getting pounded numerous times I turned to Dr. Richard for help as I was in so much pain I could not sleep at night !! The staff there is awesome, very polite with great personality's. I have known Richard since high school & always thought he was a great stand up kind of a guy. Man, if you have pain like I had you need to go see him now ! I am back to surfing like the pro I was in my teens & twenties. Thanks again to Dr. Richard & Staff --- Joe Schacht

Arcos, George John
What a waste of money. Yes, he sees what is wrong, but he doesn't push for the treatment one needs. Nowadays, health insurances require doctors to show "medical necessity" before authorizing treatment. He doesn't appear to want to bother with that. His assistant NEVER calls back (maybe his support staff is the major problem). Anyhow, it doesn't really matter if it is the unwillingness of his support staff to do THEIR job; or if Dr. Arcos doesn't want to be bothered with providing the required information to the insurance company - the outcome is still the same: treatment won't happen. So what is the point other than having to pay for a wasted doctor's visit. It is so frustrating.

Gomez Rolando MD
This doctor is not what he seems to be in his office. I personally witnessed him use deplorable and vulgar language to be verbally and emotionally abusive towards another woman. I expect the doctor that I go to see to also maintain a level of professionalism outside of his office and the hospital setting. What I witnessed was nothing short of someone who has psychiatric issues and obviously cannot control his temper nor control the words that he utilizes during an interaction with another woman. I will never go back to this doctor again nor would I recommend him to anyone because what he may seem to be in the office is completely different than how I saw him behaving in public. He was extremely rude, arrogant, and obviously out of control. The words that he used to verbally assault this woman I cannot repeat but trust me when I say his mother would not be proud. Avoid him at all cost!!!

Wolk Bradford J MD
Dr Wolk has delivered both of my granddaughters. I work in L+D and have seen how professional and caring he is to every patient and their family members. He is very skilled and patient and does not rush into c-sections or to get you out of his office. The staff is friendly and his office including the restrooms are immaculate. One of the best doctors around by far!

Gomez Rolando MD
I'm writing this review because I'm am absolutely appalled by Dr Gomez's practice. During L&D he was on his phone the entire time. My husband mentioned that it made him uncomfortable but he didn't put it away. After 45 minutes of pushing, Dr Gomez decided it was enough and gave me an episiotomy without even consulting me! I felt him numb my vagina and when I asked what he was doing he didn't respond. At the next contraction he just started cutting. My husband described it to me the next day and it brought us both to tears. I felt no better than cattle to him. The labor wasn't going fast enough so Dr Gomez Cut my vagina so it would fit his schedule. I was going to confront Dr Gomez at my follow up visit but he rescheduled on me TWICE. When I finally got an appointment at 9 weeks, I waited over an hour and a half in the exam room with my baby just for the nurse to tell me he couldn't see me that day. My insurance ran out at the end of the month so I was never seen and I don't know if the chop job he did on my vagina healed properly. So I urge you, if you have a choice please pick a different provider. I wish someone would have warned me.

Childrens Health Care Of Brevard LLC
LOVE this place. Appts are easy to get, and Margaret is AMAZING with my Daughter. We have been going to her for 3yrs. WE have not had insurance all this time and it is very affordable for both sick appts and well visits. I recommend this place to anyone who asks. Also, they have recently begun prescribing Homeopathic and Natural remedies which is so great.

Brevard Health Center Pl
I am a retired NYC Firefighter and my wife is a Critical Care Nurse (37 yrs.). We moved to Florida to live happily ever after. Not knowing any medical personnel or medical facilities we took the chance and selected from ads and or online recommendations. LESSON LEARNED !!! I had been seeing Dr. G. Balaji for over a year. Every time I had an appointment I sat for "EXTENDED" peroids of time past the scheduled time. In the interim of visits to BHC, I was had major back surgery (rods, pins, plates, screws, etc) Dr. Balaji was my primary care, He was part of the procedure. When it was time to be discharged, Dr. Balaji was requested to acknowledge. I was told he would be in to do so early in the morning, so I had family come to pick me up. Dr. did not show up till late afternoon. I sat there in pain for over 6 hours. Two weeks after surgery Dr. Balaji requested I see him. Despite the pain I was in, I sat in his office over an hour (past the scheduled time) until I could not take the pain and left. Dr. Balaji was still my primary care and had also given me a prescription for heart medication. I had not seen this Dr, for a year. My prescription had expired. I was told I needed to see Him before it could be renewed. I was okay with that BUT at the time I had made plans for a trip. I was told in other words "too bad" and could not be helped. When I expressed my feelings, told Him I was not satisfied and would rather see another physician in the BHC, I was told NO and to seek out another practice, (this would take weeks before I could do so AND also go without medication until that time). Considering the circumstances, you would think "PROFESSIONALISM" would take the forefront and at least part with the very much needed prescription and possibly a mutual understanding, BUT NO !!! I find Dr. Balaji to be only concerned with money. His dubious credentials and lack of respect for patient care leaves much to be desired. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES.

Craig R Nielsen MD
Doctor Nielsen works for the state and carefully chooses his words so that claims will be denied after exams. He is a puppet in the SSD system. He has neither a receptionist or a nurse. He does not review medical files prior to exams. He interrupted me constantly when I was trying to explain the releavant details of my case. He lied about about what I was able to do physically and he lied about the artery that was cut in my foot during an overseas surgery causing nerve damage. He assessed my prognosis as "fair to good" even though my wound still spots blood and I continue to lose sensation in my foot. To anyone who is assigned to him for an exam beware or inisist on another physician.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
