So very glad I used these guys! Jason has been the one to keep me in the loop and spent a ton of time on the phone advocating for me to the warranty company and the dealer that I just bought this car from. These guys are forward and honest about everything, and I can't thank them enough.

Ed Tire Factory is one of the few places still around that truly takes care of its customers needs. Right when you walk in the door your greeted and treated like a real person, not a number. I have never been pushed into a service or product, unlike another tire store in our area. I recommend Eds tire 100 percent.

Ken Scales is a small operation with few frills. That’s not a criticism. The last dealer I went to in Southern California was all frills. It was DCH Toyota of Oxnard, a large facility. Lots of polished floors, complimentary coffee and cookies, and guys in shiny ties who sounded like they’ve just stepped out of a car commercial. But these were the guys who robbed me. I’d left money in my Camry by accident. Someone at DCH Toyota rummaged through all of my compartments and snatched every cent. When I complained, I couldn’t get anyone to contact me. No one cared. These big dealers pay their employees badly, treat them badly, and make it necessary for them to rob you. Bad, bad business wearing a shiny proverbial tie. Now, Ken Scales provides a different experience. He seems like small potatoes. Small office, smallish shop, not especially refined customer service, the coffee wasn’t brewed, and they were out of hand towels in the bathroom. I never would have patronized his business had a friend not recommended them. Y’know what? You can keep the hand towels, and I’ll buy my own coffee—go to DCH Toyota for the pretty shop and the false integrity. Ken Scales and his staff are no-nonsense, honest mechanics. They will tell you what your vehicle needs, they won’t try to sell you what it doesn’t, and when they do provide servicing, they won’t charge you unreasonable prices. Mike, who handled my 2010 Chevy Express cargo van, didn’t upsell me. I trusted and respected him to such a degree that I upsold myself. I will be returning to him for my maintenance needs--and I live in California! I’ve finally found a great mechanic, and I’m stickin’ with him. So many people complain about how they can’t find an honest mechanic. So many people, like me, get taken advantage of. Well, this is the word of mouth you’ve been looking for. Especially if you’re ignorant about cars, you should take your business to Ken Scales. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you spot their mascot, Rich—a yellow parakeet—singing in the office.

Before taking your car here get a second or third opionion. They over charge you on parts and labor. Try taking a guy along with you. It seems if you're a woman they might over charge you. If you question how much they charge you, they reply, ""Do you know how much it cost to run a shop like this."" I just wanted to say, "" I don't care. Just fix my car."" That's what I came there for in the first place right. Not to know how much it is to run your shop. Job was done good but check around if you're low on cash and trying to save money. Especially in today's time when money is hard to come buy. We all work hard for our money.

Absolutely the worst service dept. experience of my life. Thanks to Butler Kia in Medford, I wasted my ENTIRE day that I could have been spending with my family on Easter Sunday. The ignition went out in the Kia and we live 75 miles away from the closet Kia dealership in Medford. The car wouldn't even run, I had to put it on a car trailer and tow it to the dealership. I arrived and they told me to put the trailer in the back lot. They told me that I could come pick it up the following Monday. The ignition switch was $250.00 and they told me roughly $116.00 labor to install it and program the new key that came with the ignition. A little expensive I thought on the ignition, but the labor was reasonable enough. I paid in advance for the ignition and was told I could pay for the labor when I picked it up. All was good. Friday came and they called me to let me know the parts were in but they couldn't install it because the car was on the trailer. I had to once again explain to them again why it was on the trailer. The technician said that there would be an extra labor charge to jack the car up while on the trailer. UGH! Having no choice, I agreed. A few hours later they called & said the car was done and the charges for labor had jumper to $189.95 (they charged me $73.95 to slide a floor jack under it and pump it up a few times) but the car was done and ready to go. I let him (the service manager) know I would be there Monday. After that, I found out my wifes hours had been changed and we would need the car Sunday so she could drive it to work Monday morning. I didn't think they would be open on Easter, but called anyway to ask. The service manager took the call and said he would have to check with the sales dept about leaving the keys with them. After a few moments he came back and said there was no problem and the keys would be held for me at the front desk, I had to pay in advance. Wow! On Easter Sunday I thought??!! COOL! SO, EARLY Sunday morning my wife and I hopped in the truck to be there at 10:00 when they opened, said our apologies to the grand kids about being gone that day. we took off. We arrived only to find the doors locked tight and even the entrance was blocked by cars so I couldn't get my car. We had to go home empty handed and without a car and mad as hell having wasted the gas, time and the day away from our grandchildren. I called them Early this morning. Spoke with a service man because neither the Service manager, general manager or owner were at work on time. He told me he would call me back when he found out what to do. At this point, a FAIR response would have been to either for them to get a truck and deliver my trailer and car to me or waive the labor charges for what they put me through, don't you? At LEAST a heavy discount on the labor..... I drove all the way back over the mountain (75 miles one way) and finally got a call back from someone whom I had never heard of before and he asked me what I thought would be a fair response for the screw up on their part and I told him delivery would have been nice, but since I was almost there, how about waiving the labor charge? His response was "how about I fill your tank when you get here? That is best we will offer" (about 20 bucks worth since the truck wasn't towing on the trip over). I said "Let me get this straight, I was told by your service manager AND it was agreed upon by your sales people, that I could come over on Sunday and get my car, I drive 150 miles round trip to find that your team had played a belated April fools joke on me and my wife. We give up our Easter Sunday happily to come get our car, only to find that you not only are closed, but you blocked access to my vehicle to make SURE we couldn't just take it, and we also have to make a 2nd trip again the next morning (150 miles), and the BEST you will offer me is $20?! Be warned people! This service department is the worst! They don't care one bit about you or your car. Just your money.

My fiance and I were recently in the market for a Hyundai Accent GS HB. We live in the mid-Willamette valley, and after a lot of research in our area and the Portland metro area, my brother and I made a trip down to Medford because Butler had the car (an '07) we wanted at a great price. Big mistake. After test-driving the car, we wanted to see what financing Butler could offer us. We knew what we could get from our credit union. My brother and I spent over 2 hours in their stuffy, non-air conditioned office while they sent multiple salespeople in with various offers (none of which included an APR). By the time they got us a firm offer with APR (conveniently just after 5 o'clock when the banks had closed.), we had been there for nearly 3 hours. When we balked at the high APR and got up to leave, they hassled us on the showroom floor, discussing my credit amongst other things loud enough for anyone with ears to hear. During this discussion, we found out they were able to get only one offer in those 3 hours from just one of their available lenders. The next day, they called back with an offer 2 points lower. My credit union was able to get us financing a full 4 points lower with shorter terms. Despite the hassle, I called Butler to tell them we were still interested in the car. We received a pre-approval loan from our credit union, and a few days later, I had a check in hand made out to Butler Hyundai. I then called Butler to make sure the car was still there. It had been there the night before, but I wanted to make sure before we made another trip down. The first time I called, I was told our salesperson was "in a sales meeting", the second time, he was "with a customer", after several more hours I called back, only to be told that he "had the day off". When I asked (for the third time) to speak to ANYONE who could check their inventory, I finally got a salesperson who told me he was "pretty sure" the car had sold. "Pretty sure?" I asked, "Because we have a check made out to your dealership if it hasn't." "Yeah, um I think so." the salesperson said. "You'll have to call [the original salesperson] to make sure." Incredibly, I received a call a few days ago from someone at Butler. They wanted to know if we had mad a decision in our car buying process yet. We happily told them we had bought an '08 Accent. From someone else.
