Point To Point Automotive
Gave two stars for poor customer service. Had an oil change down there because I purchased a marketing folder with oil change coupons in them. Later down the road we sold the vehicle we took in for an oil change. I remembered I still had three oil change coupons & I contacted Point to Point to see if I could use them on the new car & they stated sorry once you use them on one car thats it. So I purchased these coupons & not only lost $ but they could not even offer some sort of meet me half way or anything like that just no sorry. Well no sorry I wont come back...only visited the one time & will not go back. This type of service leads me to believe they would not be flexible when working on my car for a more serious issue or that they are so uptight for $ or customers, that they can not allow a customer to use up purchased coupons that have not expired.

Carver Tire Pros
This morning I dropped in on Carver Tire Pros to have my oil changed. I have been procrastinating because so many local shops play games trying to trick women into services they don't need. I can honestly say that this is not the way things are done at Carver. I was one of 3 ladies in the waiting area and none of us were pressured into extra services. The price was fair, and even though the shop was busy, I didn't have to wait long.We have 4 vehicles in our household; you can bet I'll be back.To any reader concerned about the disgruntled employee review on this site, I say, "Take it for what it's worth." While waiting today, I witnessed Mr. Carver's interaction with dozens of customers - in person and on the telephone. He is very courteous and professional, and the technicians are very proficient; and that's why his business is hopping.

James Motor Works
GREAT BUSINESS!!!! Brought in my CLK500 after another company wanted to overcharge me for installing my seat belt, they made a complete mess of my car, installing and damaging a $400 part. James Motor Works installed the correct part and put my car back perfectly. For those who don't know, my car has a very complex seat belt system. I was charged way less than the dealer and the other clueless shop. My car also had a starting problem, they fix the problem in a few hours and didn't overcharge me. The Owner Jim and his Receptionist Adrienne, provided excellent customer service. Thanks to this guy at Napa Auto Parts Store who sent me to this company. I will stick with James Motor Works from now on!!!!

Keys Ferry Automotive
Keys Ferry Automotive is my go to automotive shop for all of my personal & business automotive needs. When it comes to customer service they rank far beyond average. Their quality and professional work keeps my vehicles running in tip top condition. One of my large commercial vehicles broke down at my home while I was out of town, called Keys Ferry, they went by the house got it up & running. It's always good to know what you're getting into, at Keys Ferry you know just that, if there's a problem once they get started they'll call me to see how I wish to proceed. Most customers have horrific stories about auto mechanic but I am well pleased with this automotive shop.

Rainbow Muffler
I had my auto towed to Rainbow Muffler for a complete engine repair and they are very hospitable and extremely professional. I had to trust their expertise as I was in Coral Springs Florida and the car in Georgia-A gift to my grandson-the car needed complete overhaul work. I cannot thank them enough for the kindness and professional consideration of Ms Sherry and Mr, Steve,,,This is a First Class Operation with good Honest People (which is hard to find). I only wish they had a shop in Florida as well...I will send all of my friends and family to them.....Vincent McIntyre Coral Springs Florida

East 81 Automotive
This shop never ceases to amaze me. I have had my Jeep Wrangler for 6 years and have had the occasional problem... East 81 Auto is the only place I have taken my car since I have had it and it is the only place that I would ever recommend to someone for them to have work done on their car. Not once have they charged me for something that didn't fix the problem. They are the most honest auto repair team you will ever find and they are truly good at what they do. Wonderful customer service. Thank you Duane and Billy!!

155 Automotive Inc
Excellent customer service! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely not the typical rip you off auto mechanics ( especially when your a woman). The prices are very reasonable and fair! I was told by another service dept that it would be $2000 to fix both my cv axles but 155 stated only the right axle needed to be replace total cost for parts and labor $194.00! They also fixed my grill and fog light for $45.00. I will continue to take my car to 155 to receive its maintenance and also repairs!

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
