All Superior Custom Painting
I can't say enough about All Superior Custom Painting and Rob Dobyns (owner). We have an old Craftsman home, and it has not been painted in many years. The old paint on our home had chipped, peeled and the wood had shrunk in many areas or had rotted. Rob showed me before and after pictures of his work which was very impressive and told me how he would fix the wood so that when he was finished repairing and painting the house it would look smooth and like new, and he guaranteed his work.He power washed the house, replaced rotten wood in areas where needed, tightened lose boards, filled in the gaps between the boards where the wood had shrunk, scraped, and sanded and applied a product that keeps the new paint from peeling.I was going for the cottage look, and I admit that my vision for this house was ambitious, but Rob didn't flinch. Rob got all the paint samples I requested, and painted them in areas on the backside of the building so that I could be sure of the colors I wanted. (Rob did this several times for me until I was sure I had the colors that I envisioned). Talk about Patient!Rob and his men were respectful, kind and went out of their way to make sure we didn't feel inconvenienced in any way during this process.Well let me tell you, the house is awesome! To say that I'm thrilled is an understatement, because he captured my vision and the house is beautiful. Everyone comments daily on how great the house looks, and what a wonderful job Rob and his men did restoring and painting the house.Rob Dobyns did an excellent job on this house, and I highly recommend Rob and All Superior Custom Painting if you want a fantastic, professional paint job done and a guarantee.Rebecca Lowery

All Superior Custom Painting
All Superior Custom Painting did an awesome job! We have a big house with a lot of siding work that had to be done prior to painting. Rob and Anthony came out and gave me a written bid & a great price. We choose the upgraded paint and then picked the new colors. Big change from yellow house to green/brown color. They did an excellant job on the siding replacement, showed up on time every morning, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. I was impressed with the quality of work. They used 5 cases of caulking which is very labor intensive but absolutely necessary. Their work was very detailed and the paint job turned out wonderful. I would highly recommend All Superior Custom Painting for any residential or commercial painting jobs.
Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
