Gardner, Alan M MD
My husband and I are both patients at Gardner Dermatology and have seen both the PA (Mike Kelleher and Dr. Gardner). The staff is extremely friendly from the front office staff to the medical assistants in the back. After the first initial visit with Dr. Gardner, my husband had to schedule a surgery to remove a pre cancerous place. My husband was able to schedule the surgery quickly with Dr. Gardner. I am also a client in the spa (Gardner Med Spa) - which I love. All the ladies are very professional and knowledgable about their services and all the different products they carry.I would recommend this practice to anyone. I am very happy with them.

Beyond Massage Atlanta
I have been utilizing deep tissue massage therapy for over 25 years due to continuing problems from old sports and other orthopedic injuries and surgeries. Antoinette is the absolute best therapist I have ever experienced. She is extremely therapeutically knowledgeable through education and experience. And she has a great intuitive gift for understanding the physical problem being addressed and how to most effectively improve it. Her knowledge and skill is unusual in my experience. Most importantly, she cares about helping her clients achieve pain relief and better health. I could not recommend her more highly.

Northwest Behavioral Medicine
My experience has been terrific! I have been to many psychiatrists over the years and Dr. Banov has been the most thorough and progressive doctor I have ever seen. He offered traditional treatment options but also reviewed a number of natural treatment options I could try as well. I had to call on several occasions and he was responsive and empathic. Unfortunately managed care has forced many of these doctors out of doing therapy but he referred me to a colleague who I work with in counseling. I am so much better than I have ever felt and can recommend this practice without reservation.

Espy III, Goodman B, MD
Dr. Espy is the reason I am still here today, and the mother of two beautiful children. I've never met such a caring, passionate doctor who takes so much time with his patients to help them understand the care that they are receiving. I cannot thank him enough for all that he has done for me and my family! I believe 100% that if it were not for his expertise and experience, I would not have made it through my second delivery.

Williams David A MD
What do you want? Form or substance? The office ain't much to look at , ok. But, Dr. Williams has been at this for 40 years. He is a great Doctor! He's old school -- he takes lots of time with his patients. He gets to know them and shows genuine interest in their well being and he is brilliant. He knows his stuff.

Fantastic! Not only did the doctor listen to me but he knew exactly what to do, how to explain it and I am very pleased with treatment. I even got a goddie-bag to take home. Love this place!

Needed this done for a big date I was going on. I wasn't thrilled about the process but Arlene made me feel comfortable and had me laughing during the entire process. She is great.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
