The Law Offices of Abbott & Abbott P.C.
The Abbotts were thorough and fast acting for my case. The relationship with my partner took a turn and I needed experts to help me figure out how to handle this new and upsetting situation. They made the calls, filled out the necessary paperwork, and showed up when I needed them for an urgent aspect of my case. I cannot recomend them highly enough. I felt safe with the way they handled me and what needed to be done.

The Law Offices of Abbott & Abbott P.C.
Regretfully, I chose Abbott & Abbott for a service because my daughter was using him. I hired them to contest a subpoena served to me. They wrote a polite letter to the opposing counsel requesting it be withdrawn. The request was firmly denied and opposing counsel told us to do whatever we had to do. Abbott did nothing and sent me a big fat bill. I would NEVER recommend Abbott and Abbott for anything. Moving on, I hired a new attorney who actually represented me and defended me with the law. My new attorney immediately took action and filed the Motion to Quash and the Rule Nisi in my case. So thankful for my new attorney who knows how to practice law.Turned out Abbott did not adequately represent or defend my daughter in a child custody/ divorce battle either. This office was prompt to enforce directives from the opposing counsel as if they were their messenger service and sent us the bill. Abbott racked up $20,000 in fees in 3.5 months and they still had mediation and a final hearing to go through. When she ran out of money, Abbott withdrew from her case. Period. There was no payment plan even offered. All for our good because finding a new attorney was the best thing we could have done. Abbott was of such little defense for her, even the opposing counsel filed an objection to his withdrawal from the case. I would NEVER recommend Abbott and Abbott for any legal defense, either small or great.

The DiGiulio Law Firm, LLC.
Outsmarted my Opponent! (Landlord/Tenant Case)I was being sued by my landlord and I was really scared because my landlord does this sort of thing to many of her tenants and the amount she was suing for was a huge amount ($10k). From the very first visit, Ashley told me to relax, she can take of this for me and that she was able to empathize in my situation. Ashley was completely professional and organized throughout the whole process, and she showed her seasoned experience in the courtroom! Her strategy worked perfectly and left my opponent humbled!! I have complete trust in Ashley and highly recommend her!!

The DiGiulio Law Firm, LLC.
When starting my bankruptcy, I was lost, clueless, and undereducated. Because of this, I pushed filing off for months and months and months. Dan and Ashley took a look at my situation and knew what I would qualify for (Chapter 7) right off the bat and made sure to break everything down in term's I could understand. They gave me a couple different options when it came to paying them for their law services. They we're actually affordable and easy to incorporate into my budget. When I met with my creditors, they showed up early and gave me a heads up of what to expect which calmed my wife's emotions about the whole thing, and when it came time to be interviewed, Ashley listened and watched like a hawk to make sure my rights weren't overlooked or compromised. I received my discharge letter about 3 months after court and my credit score increased instantly. Since they made sure we covered all my debts in detail before filing, my credit reports from all 3 bureaus showed no debt. If have to file bankruptcy, call them. I was referred to them by my mom when she filed bankruptcy a few years ago when my dad had a heart attack and nearly passed away. From what we gathered almost all their business comes from positive referrals!!Thanks Ashley and Dan!!
Tips & Advices
Each state has different mandates on how child support is determined. But there are some basic factors that underline how costs are determined in each state, including:
  • Income level of parent that needs to pay support (in the case of joint custody, the costs are determined by income of each party and the percentage of time the child spends with each parent)
  • Financial needs of child
  • Child’s standard of living before the divorce occurred
This is a divorce in which one party does not have to prove that the other’s actions lead to a deterioration of the marriage. The reason for divorce is listed as "irreconcilable differences" or an "irreparable breakdown of the marriage,” meaning the marriage was no longer working and could not be repaired.
Family law attorneys are helpful in cases where the two parties are not on amicable terms. The lawyers can act as intermediaries between the two parties and help them come to any settlement agreements, however long that may take. Lawyers can also help parties navigate tricky state laws regarding settlement agreements and child custody, thus expediting the process.
A contested divorce is one in which the parties cannot agree on either the necessity of the divorce as a whole, or how assets (money, property, etc.) and child custody should be split between them in the divorce. An uncontested divorce is when the parties are in agreement on how assets and child custody will be split between them. These divorces can sometimes be handled without hiring a lawyer.
It is possible for a couple to get a divorce without hiring a family law attorney. If the two parties are in agreement on how finances, child custody, properties, etc., will be split, then they can file the necessary court documents themselves and avoid the services of a lawyer.
