A-1 Fence & Welding
BEWARE!!!! Jeff installed a fence around my patio and pool in June 2017. After 6 to 8 weeks, it was rusting and staining around my pool and the gate latch came apart. I called him and and he said he was out of town and a couple of weeks later sent two guys out with a spray can to paint. I had to leave for an appointment and assumed it was better when I returned. Then my husband and I noticed the next day there was rust everywhere! I called him again and he said it only had a 30 day warranty and he would not come out again and do FREE work! I paid him over $6,000.00 for this job! I found out I am not the only one with this problem as another friend used him and had the same experience (even used the same line...out of town and no free work) and had to hire another company to fix her fence that was coming out of the ground!! Do not use him and spread the word so no one else is taken!!!

A-1 Fence & Welding
Jeff was very professional and listened to our needs and showed us different fence types since we were unsure what to use. Jeff and his crew took the time to do it right and involved me in the project and they cleaned up after the job was finished. Jeff provided references, all of which were great. They were very prompt and did what they said they would do, they were a little more $ than the two other bids I got but I wanted quality and the other guys were not very professional. and I was concerned about quality with the others.

A-1 Fence & Welding
A1 Fence showed up to do our project on time and finished early. We looked at several options for fencing and went with wrought iron pre fab. Great work! These guys don;t use wet backs which I liked. Their guys work and live in our community and speak english so it was easy to communicate.
Tips & Advices
Homeowners should work with a fencing contractor who is certified by or a member of one or more trade organizations, including American Fence Association or the North American Fence Contractors Association.
If a contractor requires an immediate decision, asks you to pay cash or doesn't provide an estimate.
  • Ask for portfolio examples
  • What's their reputation?
  • Is the work guaranteed?
  • Is there a warranty?
With exposure to the sun and the elements, wood fences are prone to cracking, warping and cupping. homeowners are encouraged to clean, seal and stain their fence at least every three years. Clean the fence with a specially formulated cleaner. After 15 to 20 minutes, use a pressure washer to remove any mold, mildew and debris from the fence. Then seal and stain the fence to protect it. An oil stain is recommended, as it penetrates the material and can maintain its condition for years.
Homeowners may use soap and water to clean off these materials, but they generally don't require much more than that. These options can be good for those that want a sturdy but low-touch fence.
