Artisan Exteriors
Alert!! We hired Karl Wendland the summer of 2012 for a complete kitchen/master bath renovation. Within a year's time the finish/paint started flaking off in various areas of our kitchen. For over a year we tried to get him to fix the deteriorating finish and finally gave up because he refused to take responsibility for the work - though Karl is the one we wrote the checks to during the project. He is now listed as the contact person for this company-Artisans. The bathroom remodel turned out ok but our kitchen is still a mess/unfinished and a daily reminder of the problems we went through with him. Beware of trusting him to follow through and stand behind any work he is associated with or you too may end up like us - frustrated and disappointed - a very costly lesson!
Tips & Advices
The cost of landscape design varies depending on the scope of the project. Expect to pay anywhere from $2,000 to upward of $11,000 for the initial design. The cost of purchasing and installing the necessary elements can cost from $11-$17 per square foot.
Many landscape designers provide maintenance services that can help keep landscape looking neat and attractive. These maintenance services might include hand pruning of ornamental shrubs, insect and disease control, weed management, tree trimming, mowing, fertilization, and leaf removal.
Landscape design is the process of designing the look of the outdoor space that is being enhanced. Landscape installation is the process of installing all the elements needed to make the design a reality.
When choosing a landscape designer, it's essential to select one whose design style matches your tastes, and evaluating a landscape designer's portfolio of previously completed projects will offer insight in this area. An n experienced landscape designer will have the background necessary to navigate unexpected challenges that may crop up during the project. Select a landscape designer who is licensed, bonded and insured. If you prefer organic gardening, choose a landscape designer whose practices are in line with this philosophy.
The size of the project plays a role, and larger landscape design projects will take longer to complete. Once the initial site visit has been made, it can take up to four weeks for the landscaping professional to complete the design. After the design has been prepared, it can take up to three weeks for the installation to be completed. Any alterations made along the way will lengthen the process.
