Gerhardt's Garage
I could easily post the extent of my experience in full, complete detail but I'll keep this short and sweet. Sometimes, more than one or two reviews are needed in order to gather a reasonable idea of the quality, honesty and timeliness a new shop will provide for yourself. I've given the benefit of all doubts, yet there are just too many questionable things going on. I can elaborate if anyone would like though it's okay, no one needs to reply to me this time. That wouldn't require any change of pace here.

Chapel Creek
Poor management. Daughter who is 27 had a stroke at 6 weeks pregnant. She is high risk. Also found out she had Lupus. Dr requested her to avoid stairs furvthe rest if her pregnancy. Dr gave her a note. Daughter asked to be moved to first floor. You would think that mgmt would work with you. All they got was "our hands are tied" really. Ok. So they could move but you have to pay a deposit a pet deposit etc. A lot of money for a move downstairs. They wouldn't work with them so they moved to a much nicer place and more friendly. Be careful

Tire Kingdom
I would definitely recommend this location if you are in need of tires or any services. Steven was extremely knowledgable and helpful with my tire purchase and even created a quote for rotors for me (that are much needed). He really went above and beyond to provide the best customer service experience possible. The staff was professional and my tires turned out great!

NTB National Tire & Battery
I went in to have 4 tires replaced. There was an ad for Cooper tires. Buy 3 and get 1 free. The tires sold for $129. a piece in the ad. I know that there's a fee for disposal, balance, and valve stem plus tax. There is no way that the bill should have been $856. Thank God I grabbed my keys before they could put it in the shop.

Eric's Car Service
Eric has done several repairs on my "high mileage" 1999 Lexus SC300 and has always been friendly and professional with the expected results. He never tries to sell me anything that's not needed. Once he was working on my car which required getting deep into the engine block and suggested replacing the timing belt while he was making the other repairs, saving me money that I would have had to spend when it was time to replace the timing belt at a later date. Very trustworthy and has always met my expectations. It can be hard to find a mechanic that's trustworthy and knowledgeable too.

NTB National Tire & Battery
Do NOT go here! WARNING! STAY AWAY! After being assured that their best tire installer was on the job, and after over 2 hours of watching him, and 2 additional techs struggle to get a 315/35/17 on a 9x17 aluminum wheel, they gave up (their last roll of the dice was spraying ether starting fluid in my tire which only set it on fire-that tech has been terminated). So when I washed my car a few days later I noticed significant light scuffs in the clearcoat on the wheel that these incapable troglodites tried to put a tire on. Stephen, the "manager" said that I would have to show him the damage in person, so I went there and showed him. His lame, pathetic response was that the company that installed the tires after I left NTB could have caused the damage. (Yeah, right. I'm sure that the shop whose PROFESSIONAL techs mounted ALL 4 tires on all 4 wheels in a matter of minutes vs struggled unsuccessfully for 2 hours and 15 minutes until they finally gave up...yeah they are to Funny how none of the other 3 wheels that NTB didn't touch are perfect, and only the wheel that NTB wrestled with is scuffed. What a waste of time going to see Stephen. He knew the whole story, saw the security camera video, and I'm sure had no intention of accepting responsibility, but told me to come in anyway. I have left a message for Derrick, the District Manager, but I haven't heard back yet. I will see them in small claims court if they don't make this right. I brought the same wheels and tires to Goodyear on Northshore Blvd by Northshore Square mall and they did a great job of installing and balancing my wheels and tires. Too bad NTB. FAIL!!

Zoom Tech
Brett & his team at Zoom Tech run the cleanest, friendliest, most honest shop on the North Shore (if not the Gulf South)! I found Brett after taking a look at his web site where there are lots and lots of 5-star reviews. After meeting Brett and his team while having my car serviced, I can tell you that every single one of these reviews is very much deserved, so get over to Zoom Tech and get your car checked today!

Berard's Automotive & Transmission
Tye has been repairing my car for over 15 years. He always treated me fairly and I've never had to worry when I leave my car with him. I trust his judgement on what repairs need to be done. He's great at fixing only what needs to be repaired. I recommend his to all of my family members and neighbors and they have been really happy with him. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Worst experience with an auto Mechanic that I ever had. It was sheer incompetence coupled with expensive lies. I'll attempt to make a long and painful story short:I brought the vehicle in for AC repairs. the entire ordeal took nearly a month and a half. I was lied to on three major occasions. They broke something during the repair and put the vehicle back together with a broken part. Once the broken part gave, the vehicle was undrivable without major repairs. The three big lies were:1. That I had a fluid leak that needed repair and I shouldn't drive the vehicle until I drove it. - Wrong. No leak.2. The part they broke could only be purchased at a dealer for $500+. I found the part at several parts places for $150. Either he was incompetent or trying to scam me out of $400.3. After the many screwups, I told him I wanted a refund. He told me that I had paid the previous owner. That too was wrong.I could go on but there is a 1,000 character limit.
Tips & Advices
The best time of day to water a lawn is early morning or evenings - the cooler times of the day. Steer clear of watering during peak warmth and sun activity; not only can it be potentially damaging to plants, but more water is lost from evaporation, reducing efficiency.
Provided the pressure and flow are identical, and the length of time watering is equal, there should be no difference in in the amount of water delivered between manual or timed sprinkler systems. It’s all about pressure and flow that determines delivery amount.
In the warmer months you want to water three to five times a week. In cooler months, two to three times a week should be plenty. The goal is to get ¾ of an inch to 1 inch of water delivered each time. A good rule of thumb is a little more in summer, a little less in winter. If you live in a rainy area, you might not need to manually water at all in the winter.
A check valve is a valve that only allows flow in one direction, while preventing flow in the opposite direction.
The first variable to determining how long to run your sprinklers is seasonal; the second is sprinkler output. In warmer months, or peak growing season, water for approximately 20-30 minutes a day, every three to five days. Ideally your grass wants 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch of water. In the cooler, slower growing seasons, 10-15 minutes, two to three times per week. If you use automatic sprinklers, be sure to adjust them seasonally.
