Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy
My two daughters have attended Legacy for seven years. I can say that enrolling them in Legacy was the best parenting decision that we made. Not only did my wife and I get to spend more time with them as they were growing up, but we also had an active part in their education. My 11th grader will be taking pre-calculus and dual credit classes with Lone Star College this year. This is a rigorous curriculum and my girls have had to spend hours at home to keep up with the course work. The program has taught my daughters to be self-disciplined with completing their homework with no direction from me. They have learned to communicate directly with their teachers via their Chromebooks whenever they have questions about their assignments. The grading system and school structure becomes more like college as you advance through high school so that it is a smooth transition to college for the graduates. Both of my daughters are college ready and they still have 2 and 3 years left at Legacy. We are very pleased with our decision to send our girls to Legacy. There have now been 4 graduating classes at Legacy and graduates have been accepted at the following schools:Abilene ChristianBaylorConcordiaDallas BaptistElmira College (New York)Fresno State (California)Grand Canyon UniversityHardin SimmonsHouston BaptistMcMurray U.Millsaps College (Mississippi)Mississippi CollegeOklahoma StateOral RobertsRider (New Jersey)SamfordSouthwesternSt. Edward’sSweet Briar College (Virginia)Texas A&MTexas LutheranTexas StateTexas TechU of HIncarnate WordMary Hardin-BaylorNew MexicoNorth TexasOklahomaVasser CollegeThe 2017 graduating class was eligible for $1.41 million in merit-based scholarships.
