Davam Urgent Care
My husband had visited the clinic once before. He was very impressed. Impressing him is a difficult task ( married for almost 30 years, I know ). I was bit by something late one afternoon. Waited the next day for my doctor to call me back. No return phone call. So, by that afternoon I was getting concerned as the bite was getting worse and painful. My husband suggested I go to Davam and have it looked at. I admit I was skeptical but I was concerned enough to not wait another day. I arrived at the clinic and was pleasantly surprised. The facility was very clean, quiet, and quite pleasant. The front desk receptionists were polite, checked me in quickly, and I was in a room to see the doctor in less than 15 minutes. Glad I went as I had been bitten by a spider. This required a tetanus shot and antibiotics. I would go again in a heartbeat! Thank you to the Davam staff for treating me so respectfully, treating me so quickly, and attending to my current needs! Thank you again!

Davam Urgent Care
Wonderful facility. Took 11 yr old daughter to them because we couldn't get an appointment with her regular primary care physician that day. She was miserable and could not wait another day. They took her in and treated her with kit glove. They provided an IV for her dehydration due to her not able to keep food and drinks down for several days. After the treatment she felt 80% better when she left. They also tested her for possible strep throat and was positive. In short, the doctor successful diagnosed her problem and provided the appropriate medications and now she is back to normal. The doctor was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain cause and affect of the condition. In short, we are happy to find this facility and will frequent them. Ironically, the next 4 days I too needed their services and was given the same great care and got me going and feeling better immediately. Thank you Dr. Cobb!

Davam Urgent Care
I visited Davam Urgent Care after a painful household accident. I live close by so I drove there without an appointment. The staff were very attentive and considerate to my situation and made sure I was given necessary priority. Following a careful initial physical exam, all x-rays were taken and read by an assigned radiologist who, even though not on location at that moment, provided his evaluation report in no time.Dr. Payman who was on duty, had all my questions answered on follow up treatment and did not rush to prescribe radical medicinal dosages to stifle the pain. Instead he took a more conservative approach advising me of daily practices that would alleviate my pain paired with wise use of prescription medication. A very personable physician who made sure I walked out the clinic door without concerns.Thank you so much!

Davam Urgent Care
So it is 7 PM on a Sunday night and you feel like you need to get in to an urgent care? I found out the hard way not many options for The Woodlands. After calling 15 different clinics (all were closed), I was about rady to just go to ER but felt a bit ridiculous for just a sore throat. I finally called a kids urgent care that was open and asked if they had any suggestions, and that is how I found out about Davam Urgent Care. I was the only one when I got to the office, and was in and out in 30 minutes. Doctor diagnosed as strep so was glad I went ahead and went on Sunday PM so could go ahead and get on Rx. I am just amazed there are so few options for the Woodlands for after hours, but am glad I found this location. I am up towards the front in Panther Creek, but worth the drive back to 1488 to avoid going to hospital ER.

Davam Urgent Care
My visit to Davam was very pleasant. It was around 4 on a Friday, and the doctor's office that I had called was booked and recommended this place. It is urgent care but billed like a doctor's office. The waiting room and facility is very comfortable and attractive, not at all like any urgent clinic I've ever been to. Everyone was friendly and helpful, very cheerful. There was no wait, and they even made sure my kids were entertained. The doctor was very conversational with my kids and I, and quickly got me in and out with the prescriptions I needed. (I had come in for antibiotics because I had a deep cough and needed to be able to see my new nephew without the fear of spreading anything.) My daughter had been there before for a broken wrist, and her experience was just as quick and pleasant.

Davam Urgent Care
Definitely 5 star service all around. My husband developed a fever over the weekend and since we just moved from Louisiana we do not have an established medical care provider. I literally found Davam in the phone book and with crossed fingers, a wing and a pray we set out to seek treatment for him. I was absolutely blown away by this facility. Clean, warm and welcoming environment, coffee/snack bar, outstanding care team (the staff was amazing). They all really made us feel at home and unlike the urgent care facility's in Louisiana, I didn't feel like I needed to go bathe in disinfectant when we left. I would definitely recommend Davam to anyone with an urgent need. You will be taken care of in a kind and professional manner. They make you feel like family.

Davam Urgent Care
So the big klutz here fell yesterday and injured her knee and hand. Do to the swelling and pain I wanted to get an x-ray to make sure I didn't fracture anything. Went to Davam Urgent Care. I was there less than an hour. They were quick and efficient. Very friendly caring staff as well. This is the 4th time I have been to their facility. once more for myself and then once for each of my daughters. Each time I have been very happy with the care we received. I have referred friends and will continue to do so. The facility is warm and inviting and very clean. I am so happy I ran across their website over a year ago when my daughter injured her finger in the car door (She gets her gracefulness from her mom). I highly recommend Davam Urgent Care!

Davam Urgent Care
We have been to Davam Urgent Care several times for health concerns such as strep, sinusitis, etc. And every time, the staff has been fantastic. Our recent visit was for our 8 year old son. They accept our insurance, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and the wait times are short. They have water, tea, and coffee in the lobby. Also, two iPads for the kids to play on while you wait. The only change that I recommend would be to have detailed receipts available at the end of your appointment. I get them for our HSA. I request them at the beginning of my appts and they mail them to me within 3-4 days- minor inconvenience. If my husband, son,or I have a fever, minor injury, or sore throat (evenings or weekends), then this is where we go!

Davam Urgent Care
I brought my grandchildren to Davam Urgent Care on a recent Sunday afternoon. One had been there before, and one little four-year old girl was new to Davam. My grandson was totally relaxed, even though not feeling well. My granddaughter was nervous, and did not know what to expect. Our nurse, Kyla was wonderful - cheerful and calming, explaining everything to a young child. Dr. Cobb breezed in and quickly made a diagnosis we were familiar with, and prescribed meds. We were out in no time, and the kids were on their way to feeling better. No need to wait through the night until the doctor's office opens the next day, and hope for an appointment. I highly recommend this facility.

Davam Urgent Care
I have recently visited Davam Urgent Care 3 times in the past 2 weeks. We came here after long waits at both HEB and CVS and I am sure glad we did! This is my new and forever urgent care. Wait time was less than 19 minutes each time. Front desk has been great all 3 times, the nurses and doctors exceptional. The front desk is gorgeous with hardwood floors and real flowers. There is a drink station with a hit Keurig and water bottles in mini fridge. My children (5 and 2) had fun on the iPad minis in the waiting room and there is plenty or disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer strategically placed for easy access. I can't say enough...You'll have to go in and see for yourself!
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
