Goodlettsville Pediatrics
When we first moved to the Nashville area almost 7 years ago, we wanted to find a place where we would be listened to as well as receive the best treatment necessary for our children. I love the fact that I can contact our PCP either by phone or e-mail when needed. When we have had to wait, I have been prepared because they were call-in appointments on the same day we were seen. I would expect that since there are other parents expecting quality care for their own child. If my child is sick, I want the staff to take the time needed for my child. Since we began going to GoodPeds over 7 years ago, we have added 4 biological siblings to our 3 through adoption. It has been a blessing to be able to have our PCP, nurses and staff helping us along on our journey. Yes, sometimes I have to explain our situation since we don't always get to see our PCP, but I would expect that. If we ever move farther out in the Nashville area, we would still come to Goodlettsville Pediatrics.

Concentra Urgent Care
I became the Medical Director of this Center 01/2016. I don't see any reviews on myself, so I will put in my 2 cents. First of all, people usually don't take the time to write good experiences, so the lack of entries since I started here should be a BIG clue to how well I treat my patients. I pride myself on giving each patient the visit that I would want, and I treat you as if you were a relative (on the good side of the family). We are open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. We get busy from lunchtime on, so if you want the shortest wait possible, get there early. We treat fractures, strains and sprains, runny noses/cough and sew up cuts regularly here. I perform pre-employment and DOT physicals all day long. I honestly appreciate when people take the time to consult Dr. Google before seeing me. I look forward to meeting you. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration.Robert Carver, MD, MSPH

Goodlettsville Pediatrics
This was not the place for us strictly because of the size. We waited nearly 30 minutes just for a consultation. There were so many people in the waiting room! I am in no way referencing their quality of care, strictly the busyness of a large practice.

Tips & Advices
Under most health insurance plans, urgent care visits will require a copay that is usually less expensive than emergency room visits, but more expensive than standard doctor visits - around $120 on average. Urgent care staff do not have much information regarding individual coverage, so be prepared and check with your insurance provider to understand costs.
It is common for urgent care physicians to recommend follow-up treatment after an initial visit. Most commonly, patients will be asked to return to the clinic or their primary care doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve in a certain amount of time. Patients might be referred to a specialist for treatment of more complex conditions. Or patients may simply be given a few basic tips for recovering at home. In any case, patients should follow the doctor’s advice regarding next treatment steps.
If needed, urgent care doctors can prescribe medication to treat conditions. This may include antibiotics for an infection or pain medication for a broken bone. Be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for taking these medicines.
Be sure to explain your symptoms to physicians in as much detail as possible. Note when or where the symptoms first appeared if possible. Inform urgent care staff of any medical conditions you may have, all allergies, and all medications you are currently taking. Also be sure to bring proper forms of identification, and any health insurance cards/information to help process your visit.
You should be able to find a 24-hour urgent care clinic by searching online resources such as yellowpages.com. Be sure the location is included in your health plan network before visiting.
