Discount Tire
Yesterday when I went to leave work, I noticed my right, rear tire was flat on my truck. I aired it up at the office but noticed that the hole in the tire was big enough that you could actually "hear" the air leaving the tire. I jumped on the interstate hoping I could make it to Discount Tire (located in Madison, TN) in time for them to repair my tire, I bought the tires there and knew they would fix it for free. (a service that comes free when you buy your tires from them) As luck would have it, I got caught behind a wreck on the interstate which had traffic at a crawl. My stress level was through the roof! This was just a little after 5:00 p.m. and my ride to get there would normally be about 25 minutes. By the time I made it to Discount Tire, it was 5:55 p.m., they close at 6:00. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the workers who asked how he could help me. I told him that I knew it was closing time, but I had a tire in need of repair. He replied that it was no problem. He took my keys after getting my information, pulled my truck into a bay, and my tire was fixed. It only took about 20 minutes. During the time it took to do the repairs, I noticed there were still other cars being worked on, the guys in the repair area were hustling about, joking with each other, and apparently enjoying their jobs. I kept thinking that they must treat their employees well for them to have this kind of attitude. I cannot say enough about the customer service and the enjoyable experience I've had with Discount Tire!

I had a transmission rebuilt here in 2012 2005 Dodge ram 2500. I was advised to make upgrades that cost over 3800.00. This week The Transmission goes out again this time I took it to a real Transmission shop and foundout none of the upgrades were made and that I had factory parts in the transmission that had several hundread thousand miles on them. Ill just say this Ill whip anyones ass that works there if you are man enough to call me. You will be payn me back or Ill take it out of your ass. Bryan Dennis 6154841425

Discount Tire
If you have never been to Discount Tire, once you pull on the lot, you find out quickly it's not your normal tire service store. They greet each customer in the parking lot and treat you like you are a customer for life. Tire prices are very competitive but the friendly service you receive will keep you as a Discount Tire customer for life.

Was honest, didn't try to sell me extra tires that I didn't need. I was able to see the used tires before they were put on, work was done where I could watch, reasonable cost. Short wait. They were busy the whole time I was there, that has to say something about the business. Would recommend to a friend in a heartbeat.

I have had Ron and his crew work on my cars several time. I.E., trans rebuild, emissions repair, installed a used motor, brakes etc., on my 2004 Monte and our 2004 Lexus SUV. Work was as great and you could not expect better. Their pricing is better than most shops as well. You cannot go wrong using their service.

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
