Ruben's Automotive
My wife and I were coming back from Yosemite on Monday Aug. 19th. Our A/C was blowing warm air. My wife found Joe and Ruben's on her phone and called them when we were about 10 minutes from Madera. Even though they were busy they took us anyway. Ruben was very nice, polite, and professional. He found the problem but was unable to get a hose and said he could have one made by a local machine shop. We didn't want to wait that long so he filled the A/C with Freon and did what he could to get us home to Gilroy. Their shop was very busy but he took the time to help us out while we were on our way home. I'd recommend their service to anyone. Thanks Ruben it was nice having A/C driving through the valley that day!

Tony's Madera Auto Repair
Tony is a lifesaver. With our poor budget he was able to get our rv running same day. Low cost and gave us some pointers. I highly recommend him to all our friends and family even grandma. Hes thorough and trust worthy had to find old school experienced mechanics like tony these days.

Ruben's Automotive
I used to drive a VW Beetle and they were the only people in town who would service it-- Always did a wonderful job, at a competitive rate. Now I drive a Ford, which can be serviced anywhere, but I still take it to Joe! Can't beat their friendliness and quick turnaround time.

Tips & Advices
Yes, most roadside assistance coverage plans offer towing services. There might be certain restrictions, however. For example, the plan may only cover towing services for a certain number of miles. Drivers should check with their providers for details.
Which cars are covered depends on the roadside assistance provider. AAA services are available to members and not specific to any vehicle. As long as members pays their dues and have their membership card on hand, they can use AAA for someone else's car. Generally, auto insurance plans cover the car itself, not the driver, so people can't use their roadside assistance for another. However, details vary between providers, plans and local laws. Drivers should consult with their insurance providers to see whose cars are covered.
Roadside assistance coverage varies depending on the provider. However, they generally include:
  • Tire change
  • Battery jump start
  • Towing services
  • Locksmith service
  • Minimal mechanical labor
  • Delivery of oil, fuel, batteries or other parts
If a driver has a flat tire and no spare, roadside assistance services can deliver a new one. However, these services will not pay for the cost of the tire. That will be the driver's responsibility. Based on the location, some will tow a car to a tire dealer.
Most roadside assistance plans offer gas delivery and service. However, clients are generally responsible for the cost of the gas.
