03/22/2017Extended Stay America Seattle - Lynnwood
If I can rate it as ZERO star, I will definitely do. I have never ever experienced discrimination as I felt when I stayed in this hotel. I checked in 03/20/2017 night. The lady in front desk when saw my ID with scarf asked (can I know your address?) I said excuse me? It was already there on the card. She said. I want yo make sure in case you forget something in room!!!! The same lady saw me with my husband and two kids, she ignored that and gave us 1 double bed eventhough they have a king size bedrooms available. I asked if it is possible to send a single bed for my son, she said " we dont offer them prriod!!". My son spent his night on the floor using few blankets shd offered him. My husband, 8 year old daughter and I we were all jammed in that tiny double bed. I could not sleep at night and was so late for the TESOL conference because of that. In the morning, a gentleman، called Jon, asked us if we want to check in as we had two separate reservations. One for one night 20 to 21 and the other from 21 t0 24. I said yes but would you kindly switch us to a king size room? He was nice and agreed. He told me leave your stuff and I took care of your check in. I will move u to either a king or two double bedrooms. Unfortunately, when we arrived to the hotel at 4:30 pm, I found the same racist girl who decided not yo move us to a bigger room. She was disrespectful to her co-worker or me as a guest. She said my manager is here and I will ask him. She went inside wispered to him and BOTH decided that we cannot move to another toom, because the house keepers are left and they do not want to have a "dirty room"! Both ignored their co-worker and his ward to me. So sad. Therefore, I decided to not spend another night in this hotel. I lost my money that I payed for the three nights, but hopefully that would teach them to respect their guests! And choose professional people to run the bussiness.
The rooms are clean and the bed is well....sleepable in comfort, if not a bit squeaky. The T.V.s are older and decent in size, if that's what you look for in a room. The bathroom may be small in size, but it is visually pleasing and free of any odor. The towels are cheap, thin and not worth the effort of "forgetting to put them back". The staff will also tell you they have to be decently clean when they check your room....? So no using them for anything but drying yourself after a shower. Getting makeup, grease, mud, you name it, on the towels is something they will try to get you to pay for. Speaking of the staff, I only saw one man. He checked me in, showed me the room, told me about the shower only use of the towels and I didn't see him until I checked out. So the "staff" are civilized, just not friendly. Which is fine, I paid for a cheap room with Wi-Fi, not a best friend. Another plus I guess is the fact that they do have breakfast, I however, slept through it. The couple a few rooms down were, busy, for a while. Did I mention the beds squeak? The walls are like that of any hotel really, stable, but not sound proof. And what hotel isn't complete without a mini fridge full of overpriced drinks? So if you want a nice, clean room with Wi-Fi and maybe you like waking up at the crack of dawn for beakfast, this place has got you covered. :D
