My Guys Moving & Storage
We moved my mother-in-law into assisted living. We had to revise the move date and reschedule. Indiana and Dee the office staff were amazing. "No problem" they told us over and over. "We are here to help you". This was a stressful time for our family and we didn't have to worry about one thing. Mart, Gary and Robert arrived on time for the move and were so respectful and efficient. All three young men were so mature, professional and handled themselves so professionally with the facility. They were also very kind and supportive of my family during this trying time. We have recommended My Guys Moving to our friends and family and wouldn't hesitate to promote the company. This move was totally hassle free and we thank you so much for that.

I have moved many times and they were the most pleasant and understanding. I had to reschedule 3 times because of my closing on my house, and the owner Jeremy was very understanding. He said it happens quit a bit and he understood that it wasn't my fault. When I finally got to move the 3 gentleman that came out were very polite and respectful. They asked were everything went, not just put the items in whatever room they wanted to. Defiantly will recommend them to anyone that is moving. Best regards, Nancy A

I am behind on leaving this review due to unforeseen family emergencies, but wanted to make sure I leave this review as they deserve it. This company was wonderful. I have a very large solid wood and glass curio. It is just one solid piece of furniture, it doesn't have any attached pieces. It can only be moved upright, no laying it down due to all the glass. Dereck and Ian showed up right on time to move it into my new townhouse for me. These 2 guys were fantastic. Didn't put a scratch on it. I highly recommend this company. If I ever have another move they will be who I call. Thanks guys for your wonderful service.

"Best decision we have ever made in a move. The team was absolutely amazing. They worked quickly and were very careful with our things. When it came time to move our Sub Zero very heavy refrigerator up the stairs and into our condo....they did it!(our sofa was no easy task either) I was so amazed at their determination to complete this difficult task. I would definitely recommend them to anyone...anytime! Thank you for a wonderful job!" My Guys Moving are the BEST of ALL movers!!!

I was dreading everything about my move and a nervous wreck for the entire month before getting to Lynchburg! Pat and the other movers were so helpful and friendly! They were very careful with all of the items and put them exactly where we asked. I was so relieved after they started moving us and immediately felt at home! One of the movers even told us some great places to eat in the neighborhood :) definitely will recommend to all my friends!

AMAZING. They were extremely prompt, careful, professional, and SO hard working. And they were happy, which usually says a lot for their employer. They level of expertise was evident in all their work and I just really enjoyed having them move my things. They were so considerate about every little detail too. The two were both veterans and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job which made all the difference in their work. MUST USE.

Two Guys and a Truck did a commercial move for us and it was the most efficient move I've ever had within the workplace. We had boxes of files, cabinets, and several very large desks and furniture. Everything was moved quickly and orderly, exactly how we asked. Saved us of a lot of the normal chaos that we have regularly around the office! Definitely recommend.

I've moved all across America and never met so honest, hard working, professional movers and they were military veterans to! Not only were they great people, they were very careful with my stuff and treated it like it was theier own, and they were by far the most reasonably priced around. I would reccomend them to anyone!

Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
