Sears Appliance Repair
Terrible. The repairman did not fix my Maytag. By the time he got back in his van it was not working again. He wanted to charge me ANOTHER service call tonlook at it again and he had not even left the driveway.

GE Appliance Repair
Have had 3-4 service calls with 2 GE techs in past 30 days to stop water from leaking out of refrigerator and soaking our kitchen floor. we were told to remove all food, turn off appliance, and wait until Monday.I have had major surgery 2 weeks ago and now have no where to store food. Paid $349 for supposedly completed repair work but 2 days later same problem--leaking water soaking kitchen floor. Extreme difficulty understanding why GE can't fix problem. Tire, hungry, need ice and convenient refrigerator to heal---please someone help solve our family's problem.

This email says repair, but on the Sears employee's work order it was a preventive maintenance order. Not happy at all my washer still leaks water on the floor sometimes when it's washing. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. And the employee that took my repair call told me that that was something that was normal for it to leak. I've had washers for over 40 years and I've never had one to leak. GUESS THEY DON'T MAKE MAYTAG'S LIKE THEY USED TO. The repair people aren't lonely with mine.

Scheduling online was relatively easy. Received text reminders of scheduled appointment. Technician (Jason) called when he was on the way. Because of his knowledge and experience with Samsung washers, he was able to fix the problem WITHOUT unstacking the dryer; a real time saver. He insured the problem was fixed and there were no leaks before leaving by running several cycles. He gave me his cellphone number to call should I have any problems. A very pleasant person. I would recommend Sears Appliance Repair to anyone and would use them again.

Sears Appliance Repair
Worst service I've ever experienced. If I could give zero stars, I would Six repair visits, four different parts, the rudest repairman ever, and more than two months later, and I still have no washing machine. I wouldn't wish these guys on my worst enemy. The original problem was a bearing, which they fixed, but then broke the electronics by banging on my washer for nearly an hour with a hammer, then flat out denied they did it, even though I watched them do it. Needless to say, I will not be using them, and I ended up buying a new washer. After multiple phone calls and being given the runaround, I was able to get most of my $500+ refunded.Rude, unprofessional, clueless, and terrible.

GE Appliance Repair
We were charged $125.15 for 5 minutes of work in addition to paying for parts and a service call. In doing research online, the parts price also seemed excessive. I will not use GE Repair in the future.

I had schedule an appointment a week ago and let them know i have work at 12 the day on the appointment therefore he would need to be at my house before then. He never showed. At 11:15 I had called to see where he was and the operator told me he was not showing to be on his way. I made a statement to let them know he was a no show and I was informed that he would not be considered a no show until 12. The operator told me she did see a note in the system that the tech needs to be at my house before 12 but she said they use it as a guide but cant promise anything. The tech then called at 1130 said he would show in 15 minutes which would put it at 1145. I was really made and let him know he was suppose to be at my house before 1130. He said he never knew of the note because it is all computerized and he was not told of the note. It was very frustrating. I would not recommend them to any one due how they handle their customers. Do not use them!
Tips & Advices
Aftermarket replacement parts can be perfectly safe and reliable, but be sure to do your research. If replacing a more integral piece, such as washing machine’s water pump or a thermostat for a busted water heater, it might be best to purchase new.
Replacement parts generally come with warranties extending anywhere from 30 days to five years, depending on the original price, the nature of the fix and the age of the part itself.
If you’re seeking new parts repair companies will generally mark up their prices slightly--particularly at a major national retailer. However, used parts are typically discounted.
Cheaper used appliance parts can be found online or at many local, independently owned retailers, along with ecommerce sites such as eBay. Major retailers, however, generally limit their selection to unused, full-priced options.
Second-hand appliance parts are generally anywhere between 50-75% cheaper than new ones, but warranties might not extend as long and the parts may be less reliable or come with a shorter lifespan. Be sure to research the source of any second-hand parts to ensure the dealer is reputable and the part itself reliable.
