Affordable Roofing
Terrible experience with this company's service. Three months to finish having my roof replaced. They charged me $75 labor to take down my satellite and put it back on the roof. They assured me that I wouldn't lose service. Well they took it off and it never worked. Had to pay Direct TV to come back out and fix it. So I got charged double. The it took them over 1 1/12 months to come back and wrap the aluminum window and garage flashing. They called and said they tried to do the work one random and had to leave because my car was I. The driveway. They never called me before coming out! Then they said they would be there the next day and didn't show up! Then they came back and did the work and didn't even tell me they were coming to work on my house. They damaged my siding during the roof repairs and it took 3 months to get them to fix it. Phone calls went unanswered and every time the promised a time to be at my house they didn't show up or complete the work. I even set an appointment time to give them my insurance check- AND THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP. Then asked me to reschedule. This company is awful. Absolutely shoddy craftsmanship. Reinstalled and rain diverter that was all bent up. Thanks for nothing.

R & I Construction Roofing Contractor
I was shopping for a roof and i called the 3 biggest roofing companies in Louisville their tv ads looked very good but i really regret it. They just sent me a bunch of salesmen who didn't even listen to my needs, they were only interested in making their commission selling me a roof. I'm so glad i called Rene with R&I Construction, he really explained to me everything i needed to know, showed me several shingle samples and options, without any pressure at all, i mean , i was impressed and he earned my trust, i let him do my roof and i'm really satisfied with their work. My neighbor used him before to repair their roof and he's also really happy with the results, great work! great guy! great roofer! I'm glad to know that still exist contractors like him.

Crown Roofing
Horrible experience! It took them nearly three weeks to complete a job I was told would take a couple of days. Workers constantly showed up late and we're rarely on task. OUR ROOF LEAKS TERRIBLY!!!Called them back to alert them to our problem (that they caused) and nothing was done. I've had to call REAL roofers to come and fix the horrible mess they left me with, at my own expense. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TROUBLE AND DON'T HIRE CROWN ROOFING !

HKC Roofing & Construction
All the wind and weather lately had blown several of our shingles off of the ridge of our home. Jason from HKC came out and got it all fixed up today. He did a great job and was very quick with getting the work done. I highly recommend you call them if you have a need for one of their many services!

So, this review will take a minute. But, when you have a lot to say...First, the work that was actually completed seems to be OK. It's all the details that just weren't done. Not done poorly- he just stopped showing up to do work one day.In our case he did a fence. We paid him some extra to do some other handyman work. Overall, the fence appears adequate. I think the guy knows how to do work- it's just after he gets paid he stops working. We paid him to hang a door. He went to Lowes (using my credit card of course) to buy the door and frame. When he figured out he couldn't put a door up in the spot we had selected (he said he could do it originally)- he just let the door sit out in the weather and get ruined (couldn't be bothered to return the item, put it in the garage out of the weather, etc.).He put wheels on our fence gate as requested. They were not the correct wheels for the job. He pulled the wrong ones off. He never came back to put correct ones on. We still have the old wheels (couldn't be bothered to return those either). We have exposed wood screws there now for the kids to kid cut on. The latch also broke which may or may not be his doing. After 2 weeks of looking at it, I paid someone to pick up his debris. Like everyone else, our complaint is he just stopped doing work at some point despite being paid to do it. There are multiple court records with "James Hall" so without a DOB it's hard to figure out which is him. His pictures follow. The process agent for the company is Frederick Wayne Hall. There are several court records for Frederick W. Hall. The girl in the pictures below has the same name as someone with arrests for drugs including heroin. His business listed on Google is "permanently closed" or I would leave him a review there. The person that left him 5 stars on here is I suspect himself.

James Hall stole from us and our grandfather. He lies about every aspect of the project and will NOT complete as agreed. Whatever you do, do NOT hire this company for anything. Stopped returning our phone calls after he stole our money. Project is not even close to being complete and half aas work.
Tips & Advices
The most common types of roofing material are:
  • Asphalt shingles
  • Metal roofing
  • Slate shingles
  • Concrete roofing
Metal roofing material and algae-resistant asphalt shingles are the appropriate roofing material for rainy climates.
Houses located in  areas which are prone to wildfires, should avoid the use of flammable roofing materials such as wood shingles.
Not only should you ask to get in contact with past clients, it is also recommended that  homeowners visit projects currently underway to see how the contractor or company actually performs during a job. You can also go online and check out other customer reviews.
Reputable roofers do offer a warranty against poor workmanship. Additionally, the material used often carries a warranty from the manufacturer against defects (assuming proper installation). It is the homeowner’s responsibility to check on the availability of all such warranties before any work is performed.
