Puppy Land Pet Shop
Had to give it 1 Star. I would not even do that.First, this place is DIRTY, Webs all over the place, Dust, empty Bird Seeds all over the ground. That should of been a sign to Leave, But I didnt. My Wife just lost a Parrot and was really sad, so I made a Huge effort to try to find another thats Social, Nice, Talks, etc. I know that Cockatoos are pretty close to those requirements, so I did some looking around and the only place I found was this Place. Carol's Pet Center. Yea, they were really Friendly, and checked out the Cockatoo. The Bird was Really Nice, Loving, The Guy used a Stick to put the Bird back on its cage. Was PERFECT for Trying to Mend a Broken Heart Wife. So we took it home. Very Nice and Calm. Next Day, COMPLETELY Different Bird. Very Aggressive, Very Noisy, and when I used a Stick to try to pick him up, he ran away and was like he feared it. This was Not even close to the Bird I bought. So we Tried to work with it a couple of days, But Nothing. He Squawks to get attention and no matter if its Me or my Wife to try to pick him up, he would Bite, HARD. So we walk away but goes at it for an Hour and then the Next day, same Routine. Very Rarely we were able to Handle the Bird, but doing so only with fear. So I went back to try to talk to them and Now Suddenly, they are Not Helpful, they dont want anything to do with Us. I asked to talked to the Owner to work out a Deal and the Guy says the Owner Never Shows up (At his Own Shop, thats SAD) so I asked him for the Number and he said that he cant give it out and I asked then How am I suppose to talk to the Owner if you are not allowed to make any Decisions and Only the Owner Is? I even Offer to get Just the Money Back and I would give them a Nice Cage that I had (Valued at $300-$400) and they can make a Bit of a Profit from Nothing, or Something. Nope, wasnt even willing to work with you on anything. It's been Nothing but a Nightmare and No Co-operation from them. I really think they Sedated the Bird to keep it Calm enough to sell it when they Knew it had some Issues. More Likely they do that to all their Parrots. I would HIGHLY Advise against going to Them. PLEASE Spread the Word Around. This wasnt something like 1-2 Months, this was 3 Days. I've bought a Car from a Cars Salesman who was willing to take a car back for More than That. I even Offered that I have 2 Dogs and 2 Cats (Dogs Stays Outside and the Cats keeps their Distant, they are More afraid of the Bird than it of them) I was Willing to always go to them to get their Shots and etc. But Still Nothing. They are nice and Willing to work with you to get a Sale but after that, Dont expect any Sympathy.

Mikes Pet Store
If I could give this zero star, I would. Mike is very rude. I called to ask for whether anyone has attempted to sell him a bird within the last few days because I lost mind and just trying to check. He doesn't sympathize and instead, he gave me one of the most disrespecting response ever saying "Do you know how many people walk into my store every day and how do you expect me to keep track of how many people was trying to sell me a bird." Heartless guy and I can't believe this type of person is working with Pets. Don't come here. Give you business elsewhere.

Puppy Land Pet Shop
I like the environment here. For me, it is very conjunctive for pets and owners. The staffs are also well-mannered and the way they treat customers is great.

Collar & Leash Discount
They have a surprisingly good selection for a small store and operate really convenient hours. It's a bit pricey, but for a local store that is fast with a good selection, well worth it.

For Pets Only
Great neighborhood store with competitive prices. Good suggestions, and helpful staff. There's no need to go to the chain stores, when you can support a local business.

L.A. Love & Leashes
This is a fantastic organization that takes animals out of local shelters and puts them in the location of a former pet store to get them adopted. Really great people and animals!
Tips & Advices
Many people fear that their pet will be injured at the groomer, but incidents of serious injury are infrequent. For minor injuries , it is appropriate the groomer pay the vet bill, and can usually be worked out between groomer and owner. For moderate to severe injuries, you can attempt to activate groomer’s liability insurance to cover medical expenses. However, be aware that most groomer contracts stipulate that the business does not assume responsibility.
Staff at groomers know that there is inherent risk when handling animals, and they are familiar with being snapped at or bitten. However, it is not a normal occurrence or something you should ignore. Many people choose to cover medical expenses or pay extra--at minimum, apologize and get the dog into behavior classes. It is a given that  you should sedate or muzzle the animal for all future grooming sessions.
It is always recommended to make an appointment to get your pet groomed. While some groomers, especially in the larger pet stores, can accommodate with short notice, popular neighborhood groomers are often booked out two weeks out or longer on weekends.
If your pet has sensitive skin, let the groomer know when you set the appointment. But be aware, all dogs have sensitive skin by human standards--their skin is much thinner. Therefore, you should be on the lookout for signs of sensitivity, and reduce it through regular grooming with gentle, natural shampoo and conditioner. Oatmeal shampoo is a favorite. Daily brushouts and omega oil supplements are recommended for every day at-home care.
For various reasons including insurance clauses and pet-owner relationship dynamics and behaviors, groomers prefer owners don’t stay with their pets while being groomed.
