I have been meaning to review The Lorenzo for almost a year now, but nothing has ever pushed me to until now. If you would like to here about the MILLIONS of awesome amenities offered at this hotel like "student housing" arrangement there are plenty of reviews beneath mine that detail them. However, I really want to write this review about something much more important to me living on my own for the first time...THE SECURITY HERE IS AWESOME!!! I do not want to make this a novel by going into details, but on a recent Game day-when there was tons of people all over the surrounding area of USC- a non resident followed me on to the property and essentially tried to assault me, then immediately ran off of the property. I notified security, even though I assumed nothing could be done since, he was not at the Lorenzo, and there were so many more people in the surrounding area. To my surprise, I got a call within 30 minutes saying they needed me to come make a positive ID. Officer Torres and the other guards acted right away, and ironically, I feel so much safer after this incident knowing how seriously security takes their jobs. Also, this was weeks ago, and Katrina, who hasn't seen me since, just came up to me to ask me how I was doing. Maintenance is amazing (how they turn the messiness from parties at 3AM on a Saturday, into squeaky cleanness on Sunday mornings is beyond me) and I can always count on Jerome (one of the shuttle drivers) to ask how a midterm went or to talk about the Lakers. Right now, the shuttles are pretty crowded, but I see them slowly adding more shuttles and they leave when full so I haven't been late because of it. Obviously this isn't some magical land where nothing can go wrong, but everyone I have dealt with here has been genuine with their attempts to make it one. I could not see myself living anywhere else in the are around USC and will definitely be renewing for the second time thanks to the awesome security!

I've been living at The Lorenzo for almost a month now and I have zero complaints. Weekends are noisy which is a no-brainer at student housing, but as far as the management goes I can honestly say that they have been nothing but hospitable and accommodating. Members of the staff are always out and about in case of any problems and they are prompt to consider and act upon their tenant's requests. For example, upon moving in I had a less- than- ideal situation roommate situation, after approaching the Housing Maintenance with my concerns, I was given multiple rooming options and settled into a new apartment within one hour. Not only is the management beyond warm and friendly, but you can also always count on the security or maid service to put a smile on your face upon walking into the building. The whole complex has been clean since the day I first walked in and I am very pleased with the amount of space in my apartment. Definitely recommend The Lorenzo. Special shoutout to Dijon from Housing Maintenance and Robert in the Leasing Office. Thank you!

I went to visit the lorenzo with my son who is moving in this fall. From the moment we went in we were greeted by security and leasing agent nelson. He was so cordial with us, answered all my annoying questions and gave us very honest helpful insight into his living experience in here. It was a very solid perspective. We are from Arizona so we are not very familiar with LA and nelson was very informative and very knowledgeable about the facility and the city. He helped me see how conveniently lorenzo was located in the city and how to get around town in the train. He even offered to show us how to buy a tap card; he just made me feel so much more comfortable about leaving my son here. My son will attend Los Angeles city college so it was nice taking the train with him and knowing how my son is gonna get to school was very important for me. He also familiarized us with the move in process and we are just excited for our son and know he is in good hands.Thank you Nelson!

I was stunned by the variety of facilities and infrastructures of this student housing when I visited my friend here. I can tell that the staff put a lot of effort to make sure that the place is comfortable and functional to their residents. The place is also guarded by many securities personnels and cameras. There are definitely a lot of people living here, so you will always be able to make friends, especially during regular events held on site (they have yoga classes every week too ).I also got to know the staff who work here, who are professional and genuine. They do work diligently to ensure that their residents are taken care of. The building itself is also conveniently located next to a metro station and is in vicinity of a selection of restaurants (mostly fast food). I do highly recommend living here if you want a comfortable living experience.

My son is a USC graduate student. I have to say that the pictures of the Lorenzo on the website accurately reflect this beautiful complex. Security appears more than adequate; my wife and I felt comfortable leaving our son here and heading back to the East Coast. The shuttle service to USC is working out great, as is, very importantly, the Central Kitchen; our son is not terribly at home in the kitchen. I was worried about the noise factor given the size of this facility--our son's program is very demanding--but thus far there have been no issues whatsoever. Edgar Lopez was very helpful in the signing on process, easily available by email or phone to field my numerous questions. At this point, I suspect my son may be sad to have to leave at the end of his year.

This place is great, I have been here for a year with no problem. Whenever something gets broken or messed up in the apartment all I have to do is put in a service request and boom it's fixed, usually that day. The management has been super helpful with ALL of my needs. If you are nice and polite they will always be nice and efficient back. It's a huge complex and can be hard to maintain 24/7 but if you see something off or wrong just let them know and it is taken care of. The internet is also great, they have me set up so I never drop and the speeds are awesome. I recommend 100% for any LA newbie coming to school to live here for at least a year because you make lots of friends, and always have something to do around the complex with all of the events and amenities.

Love living here! I was in FIDM housing and it was probably the worst experience of my life. Fidm has you move every three months (per quarter), also every time they moved me into a new apartment, it would take them 2-3 days to send a cleaning crew. So after college finals, and moving everything into a new apartment, we had to spend hours cleaning out that apartment, (trash, hair balls, etc from that wasn't even our mess to clean up). My point is, for FIDM students this is a really good option! I recommend making an appointment and meeting with a leasing agent to discuss the type of person you are. They did a great job at pairing me with awesome roommates in a great location. My leasing agent was Dave, but I'm sure they're all wonderful! Good luck!

I'm actually an independent contractor at The Lorenzo and I really love working with the staff here. The Property Manager Laura, and Events Manager Nick have gone above and beyond when it comes to helping take care of our professional relationship, always making sure to be fair and follow through. It's really nice and important to have management care for their employees and work hard to take care of them. I think this really trickles down and reflects upon the general care and overall experience of the whole company. On a side note, this residence is gorgeous and the perks you get are incredible! Perfect for students- I would have LOVED to live here when I was in college! It's everything that luxury apartment life in Southern California should be.

Stephen Oropeza was my leasing agent and was critical to my ultimate decision on the Lorenzo. His efficiency and sales acumen as well as demeanor and early leasing incentives gave the impression of being in a top management position. If he isn't the manager here, he definitely should be. The Lorenzo is a high-end student living community with sizable and fully furnished and equipped apartments. The security is tight and with all the resort style amenities and weekly activities and events, it's hard not to have a healthy social and academic life. Geoffrey Palmer strikes gold again in his first rate real-estate development empire. Living here as a USC student is second to none, you won't be disappointed with anything.

Security guard Alfred Razo. It is amazing that he is just labeled a "security guard." He is more then that to the students and residents of The Lorenzo. During stressful periods he helps give encouraging words to stressed out, final packed, red bull filled students to get through these tough times. He promises a brighter future is at the end of the tunnel. He is not just a security guard that keeps the community and students safe, he genuinely wants to see everyone succeed and become the best that they can be. When my kids come to USC, he may be running the place. I hope he is recognized for being the stern security guard that he truly is, but also gets the acknowledgement he deserves

Just a moment...
