The site manager at 8747 Sepulveda Blvd is very unprofessional. She is in need of customer service training and a course in Civility and professional conduct. Confidentiality is not a word she is familiar with. She goes from tenant to tenant gossiping about the residents in the building. I have reported her to R & E Management (Jason) several times. She is allowed to be a bully and discriminate against a certain class of people. Her focus should be on ensuring that the building is maintained and not people's personal business. This building was great until it was sold, I guess the new owner is trying to earn his ranks as a slum lord.

Ongoing electrical issues in my apartment that have not been dealt with in over 3 weeks, literally a fire (our smoke decctor went up ironically) and now I’m basically living in the dark because they send out unlicensed techs who have completely messed up our wiring. Living with massive holes in the walls, no power to most appliances, can’t even use a low wattage fan because it shorts everything else, constant breaker surges, and it’s now going on almost a month with no resolution and no communication from management.

Wheeler Is wonderful. Completely beneficial and totally knowledgeable about pipes. When other plumbers would not even give you time from their day to describe what should get done Tony is fine enough to do this in detail. We moved back and forth on the telephone a few times sending images of the issue and he was totally cool and cooperative about it all.

This corporation does not pay its contractors. Especially when they receive treatments on multiple properties for bedbugs.

This company is fantastic. We called Byron on a Saturday with a plumbing emergency and he had two plumbers at our entrance door within the hour. The technicians, Elvin and Brian , were professional, friendly and capable.

Oh man I really like those guys. Greg and Ash rocked my world. They were on time, professional and exceptionally nice. They came out to fix a water leak. They fixed it in seconds. And I believe it was going to be free. They asked if I needed anything else done. I had new faucets I had to put in my daughter's bathroom but had not gotten around to it. So I had Greg and Ash do it. It did not take long whatsoever. I Will Certainly call Harvard Heights Plumber For all of my plumbing needs. Great guys. Terrific price. Great work.

Only had their solutions by now. A corroded galvanized pipe broke in my tenants unit in South Central, and I was unable to perform a repair myself, so I called them up on a Saturday evening, showed up 45 minuets later. On top of the problem I found, they discovered two others related and a fossil pipe they removed. Art and Henry did a wonderful job and were on stage. $150 Service charge, $525 for the fix, and also on a weekend night, great price for wonderful company, and happy tenants.
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
  • Don't use your toilet or kitchen sink like a trash can by stuffing hard to flush material down the drain or pouring fats and oils down the pipe.
  • Throw coffee grounds and eggshells in the garbage instead of in your sink.
  • Only use your toilet to flush human waste and toilet paper
  • Before calling a plumber, try to unclog your drains and toilets yourself by using a plunger.
  • Make sure you use a standard bell-shaped plunger for your sink and shower drains and a plunger with a flanged end for your toilets.
  • If neither type can loosen the pipe blockage, put a plumber's snake to use.
  • Ratchet the snake down the pipe to eliminate any clogs.
  • Be mindful of how much water you use in your bathroom, kitchen and even outdoors when watering your lawn.
  • Make sure your toilet handle works properly and doesn't stick.
  • Replace old shower heads with more efficient low-flow options that can cut down on the gallons of water you use each morning.
  • Turning off the water while you brush your teeth
  • Only running your dishwasher or clothes washer when you have a full load.
To keep yourself safe from fraud or a possible scam, always remember to ask plumbers for their license along with a written warranty for their labor. Besides this, further safeguard yourself by checking their references and ensure they or their company is insured and bonded to do their work.
