I started going there years ago. It's a super place but can get a little crowded at peak times. Karoke Mondays are cool. Stop,Revolt. played there once when they still had bands. I like National Forest themes.

from the exterior to the interior, it's nothing like most club in LA, from every aspects of this club it's fantastic. let's begin with the parking...unlike most clubs, the parking attendants at king king are so professional and curtious, but firm of course. the door man/security guards are so polite, it's so not your typical LA doorman/bouncer, they're actually real people, you could actually have laughs and conversations with them. despite their large and condescending sizes, they're very approachable, fear nothing, because the security guards at king king are there to protect and respects its patrons. but beware, be nice or else you'll here it from them, diplomatically speaking. the bartenders are so beautiful, helpful, approachable, professional, and so curtious(unlike most bar/clubs in LA. basically, they're real genuine. and their barbacks aren't only doing hundreds of things all at once, but they also bartend at the same time, wow! a lot of work for these barbacks, but of course they're also good looking, good wokers, professional, curtious, and at times you see them bartend and they sure know how to pour. big ups to these barbacks! don't be afraid to ask the barbacks for drinks because they'll gladly help you, they might look busy for the most part, but once you get their attention they'll gladly help you. basically the bar staff aren't just good looking, they know their profession and they know how to run the place, unlike most bar/clubs in LA, these folks also have leaderships, initiation, fast friendly, and they're all very deligent. the wait for a drink isn't too bad, you have to remember that the club does get busy, especially on the weekend. the manager and the onwner are extremely friendly, down to earth and aren't arrogant. the venue has an overall fantastic atmosphere. no fights, or gangs, or trouble makers. i've been comin' here for years, mostly during balance, and basics. so this place is a must visit, whether you're a local or not.

I used to live walking distance from F&H so I was one of those regulars that played the jukebox, smoked at the bar and drank my beer. Every week. Went back not long ago, and pretty much had the same experience. Looks about the same, drinks still affordable, still no hollywood d*bags or college amateurs. Still has a great jukebox and slightly screwed up darts game. It has gotten more popular with the gentrified neighborhood finding it, and real bars being pretty rare. But to those that complain about that, I say support the bar! Wouldn't you want it to be profitable? Embrace this new crowd, hell maybe impart some knowledge. It's our bar, but not just ours. I've seen places get different crowds and some regulars get alienated and leave. You know what? Those people sukc, and are just too precious to have something good get popular. Like people who stop liking bands because they get popular. The bar is great, the beer is cold, the drinks are strong, and there's a good jukebox. Nuff said!

I am not big on review writing, but WOW! this club was amazing, so I thought it was worth sharing. I was at the club a few weeks ago when Donald Glaude was spinning. First of all, the vibe was truly amazing. Nice crowd, hot chics and the club itself is huge and beautiful. I don't think I've seen an LA club like for a while. Vegas --- maybe, but not LA. Getting in was not too bad. If you get on a promoter list or E-mail the club, they are very good about getting you on a list and into the club. Will.I.AM showed up to the club at some point and hung out too. I am sure this club will be the new it place. For those who are looking for a great place for house music, check out Exchange LA on any given Friday night. You can't go wrong with this place!

This is one of the best overall clubs I have been to in years! You might say it is the ""Salvation"" of the LA club scene on Friday nights. Music is great, the drinks have a healthy pour and well lets just say that it's chock full of beautiful people without the typical LA pretentiousness! Go and find your pleasure at Salvation, you will not be disappointed!

Great place to hang out with friends. Really dark and awsome booths. I've only been there Sunday night's. Really charged drink's and real nice bartender's. Mostly locals there. They also got a back patio for smoking. Plenty of parking. A cool retro phone booth and a pool table.

I don't know what this guy was going at The Derby, and the problem was, there were so many people there that you couldn't even move. Excellent voice, and this guy is definitely headed for some big thing (saw Mike Starr from ""Dumb & Dumber"" and Steve Martin in the audience gloating over the guy).\r \r The venue is normally big, it seemed, but I don't like squeezing through people to get a look at the singer.
22.Nine O One Club
2902 S Figueroa St
This is a USC Campus watering hole, since 1949. Previously located at 901 Jefferson Blvd, now relocated to Figueroa Blvd, just east of the campus Row of Fraternities and Sororities, at 28th Street.\r The move occured in the late 1970's and the place had a run-down charm, all its own. Today, its been re-vamped and modified; the ceiling lifted and large plasma screen Televisions broadcast all the latest sports and USC events. Go for the drinks, order carefully for the food. \r For many years, Maxine Matheson, the owners wife, made a delicious hamburger. Large baseball size beef patty, grilled down to perfection, a dollip of mayo on a toasted bun, lettuce - tomato - onion on the side. Perfect. \r Today, the kitchen is the same size, yet turns out an undercooked pair of 7 oz. patties on a bun of various items like chili, cheese and/or other ingredients. True Slop on a bun. The wrinkle cut french fries salvage the burger basket, but anyone can make these. \r I encourage others to try the chicken and other items on the menu, but based on their inability to produce a basic hamburger, I wouldn't hold out much hope for their chef d'jour.
6801 Hollywood Blvd Ste 433
Know Pig and Whistle right? The plan B spot. Well here is the bigger version. This place was horrid for a Saturday night. All the loft is is the Highlands cut in half. Remember the back room where it was mostly empty, well now, thanks to a curtain, the ""LOFT"" is back there. Translation, cheap attempt to rejuvenate club. I will never revisit the Highlands/Loft again, its has truly become the California roll of clubs. The music was ok at best and the drinks were so so.\r \r *If you are going to go, the Loft is a cheaper way to get into both clubs faster.\r \r
