Lumber Liquidators
Good variety of hard wood flooring and laminate. Salespeople are helpful when you can find one. Bring a truck and a few extra hands.

Midtown Carpet Company
We used Midtown to carpet a 700 sq foot playroom and they did an okay job. The price was very fair and the ordered the carpet we wanted, but the seem is pretty obvious and it's coming up on some of the edges.

Great service and fast turnaround. My Floor is still going strong. Although we ran into some issues preparing the concrete, RedRhino did follow through and I'm actually super pleased so far. Would recommend.

American Floor Covering Center
Very affordable company and customer service. I first met them at the convention center show. After viewing their prices and how high quality these floors were, I knew I couldn't pass this by. I'm in the business of flipping houses so I'm always looking for deals. Very helpful staff and economic prices. Parking is easy and the area isn't bad. Definitely recommend this place.

American Floor Covering Center
I was just here all of there floors are backed with a 25 year or more warranty. They gave me very helpful tips and were very negotiable. I've been recommending this place to all of my friends because I've been buying from them for over 10 years and I've never had a complaint. After all of these years they've NEVER talked me into buying hardwood flooring or any expensive floor. If you are doing any remodeling please check this place out.

I highly recommend AFCC this place has very affordable prices. After researching for the best flooring deals and warranty's, I found my Triple Moisture Barrier Protection floor in Acacia. Now my floors will be childproof and pet-proof with the 10hr moisture barrier and I did everything over the phone in the convenience of my home, very helpful customer service.

Fabulous!! Eric and his crew were fantastic. Any minor issues we had were addressed immediately. We couldn't be happier. I would recommend them without a second thought. In addition to being wood floor experts, the customer service is exceptional.

Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
