Bonavista Lounge
The whole point of going here is to experience the rotating view. Yup, this is a rotating bar, offering a really great, 360 view of Downtown LA. The bar moves just slowly enough that you won't get motion sickness and just fast enough that you'll see all of DTLA in under 2 hours. As for the food and drink, they're perfectly fine. The catch is that this is a hotel bar, and so they charge hotel prices - so be prepared for a $17 martini. If it's any consolation, it's made with top shelf liquor. My only real complaint is that the service has been consistently slow. My servers are always friendly, but food is slow to come out and they don't check on you often enough. Still, if you have visitors from out of town and you want to dazzle them a bit - this is a site to consider.

Big Wangs
Come if you like cheap food&drinks and won't be bothered by bad service. The servers are mostly young pretty girls trying to make it in Hollywood who don't care about customer service or actually waitressing and the staff change almost every week (not to say that all industry girls are like that as I've been to places where they knew what they were doing and was well trained but I think this place doesn't really train their staff as long as they are easy on the eyes) order everything at once because it's almost impossible to get your waitress to come back (although they arnt really doing anything) oh and 15% gratuity is included if your bill is over $100

Edendale
Gorgeous venue; Great food; Friendly serviceDecided to try something new the other day and stumbled up on Edendale on YP.com. Easy to make reservation (via opentable integration on YP)... got in/seated promptly. The atmosphere was excellent (end of day, sunlight streaming through the big windows; outdoor dining also available). Had a nice glass of wine and enjoyed the comfort food! Appetizers of almonds, olives, cornishons - bread upon request. The meatloaf - very scruptious. The steak fritas - yum. If you want something new and different, try Edendale!

MR. KRAKOFF WAS A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE A WHILE BACK UNTIL HE BETRAYED ME WHEN I WAS FRAMED INTO JAIL AND HE SENT A CROOKED SHYSTER LAWYER /JOE INGBER WITHOUT MY CONSENT THAT ALMOST RUINED MY LIFE. I WILL NEVER GO IN HIS DELI AGAIN HOWEVER HE SELLS THE BEST FOOD AT REASONABLE PRICES SO I MUST ADMIT THE TRUTH. BY ALL MEANS GO THERE TO EAT BUT DO NOT GET TOO CHUMMY WITH HIM OR TO RECOMEND A LAWYER TO YOU,UNLESS YOU DO NOT MIND DIRTY UN ETHICAL TACTICS.

Dust Muffin
Shop has a lot of interesting things in it. There's candles and soap from different parts of the world which the wife totally dug. Also random knicky knacky things you can buy to decorate your place. You can find some cool gifts in there. There is a section for jewelry/art from local artists and also a section for childrens toys. The owner was a really nice guy and explained the origins of various strange objects when we inquired.

Raul's Grill
good place to go for lunch and dinner, friendly staff, upbeat music when I was there has the look of fine dining restaurant with tablecloths on their tables. There's no strict attire rules like in upscale restaurant/bar.Un restauran que te puedes pasar bien con musica bailable, comida mexicana y salvadoreno y aguafrescas que estan baratas se mira lindo el restauran por adentro

The Bradbury Building
You will gasp walking into the light-filled lobby of this iconic downtown office building made famous in the movie Bladerunner. Go ahead, take all the pictures you want of this incredible structure, built in the late 1890s; you can even climb the first flight of stairs to get a better look. The security guards in the lobby are accustomed to gawkers.

Mr T's T-Bowl
I love seeing bands at Mr. T's and I've seen some great ones. It's an old bowling alley, and the alleys are in the back stage area which is pretty neat. Other than that it's really run down and divey, but the staff tends to be pretty cool and they get some great shows. Parking is easy right out back (at least it was the last time I went).

Beverly Glen Deli
I love it up here! It's quaint and cozy. The Bev Glen Deli is where the celeb's have their Bel-Air Omelets. The food is good and the staff is fabulous. I had friends in last month and they were thrilled to be eating in between Gwen Stefani and Gene Simmons. Everytime I go there is a familiar face and the price is so inexpensive!

Just a moment...
