Thuis church felt like home the second I walked in. I WAS overwhelmed by the amount of members it has. It is huge. But joining small groups is easy and you become immediately welcomed in. No one is pushy. Most are very accepting of you, where ever you come from, whatever your beliefs are. It is more liberal, but I love that! They want to embrace all of humanity and share in the christian values. Their Choir will send chills up your spine! The speakers will capture your attention. The mission groups are diverse and has something really for anyone. And their kids program is simple, fun and educational. I searched for 2 years for a church, and avoid Bel Air due to its size. But now, I am very happy to say that I feel I have found my church home!

I've only been once, but I plan on making this my church home. The welcome team did a great job of welcoming me and my sister. I also love the small groups that they have—groups for all ages and stages of life and new groups are starting all the time. The pastor reached out to me by email the next day and the day after that I received a card in the mail thanking me for visiting! They seem great at welcoming people and making them feel included.
7.Redeemer Baptist Elementary School
10792 National Blvd
I went to this school for 3rd through 6th grade. This is the best elementary school and I wished that I could have started in kinder. I loved all of my teachers. I became a straight A student because of how well they taught me in Elementary. Life goes on, but everytime I go to visit, all of the little kids who loved me, hugged me. I had so many friends, that they became like a second family to me. I miss this school tremendously.

The Rev C Justice-Forrest, is amazing, I have never met someone as great, understanding, caring, sharing, and can show you the right way. I met her only once, and she made me feel like I had known her all my life. She makes you feel that you are a part of the church and her family. If Rev. Oden only knew, she is the best. You cant find a better person than her. She can pray for you and it seems like your troubles are over. God knows I love her and there is nothing in this world can change it.

Normandie Christain School is an excellent learning environment and has been for almost 30 years. I attended to school myself from k-2 and I have nothing but the best memories from it. If you live in the downtown Los Angeles area and want your child to attend a private Christain school, than look no further then Gage Ave and Normandie. And you can also enroll them in the N.C.S. Summer Day Camp program, which has tutoring services and fun field trips to amusement parks like Raging Waters, Disneyland, and Knott's Soak City.

We held our wedding reception here last month and there are absolutely no words to describe how amazing everything was. To start, from the minute our guests stepped into the venue the staff provided exceptional service to us and all our guests till the minute we stepped out. They knew how to help us and what we needed before we even had a chance to ask. Then the food!!! The food was incomparable!! Absolutely top-quality, our guests are still raving about it, saying it was the best they've ever had. And of course, the beautiful venue itself, the design and lighting system can not be described in words how stunning it is. Even after being there for hours, you still want to look up and enjoy the lighting......\r \r That day it wasn't just a venue provided to us, it was soooo much more! They helped our whole wedding run smoothly, even helping with things that they didn't have to help with.....\r \r With this beautiful hall and the help of their exceptional staff our dream wedding became a reality!!!

It was well meaning and the people are cool, but some of the practices were unbiblical (i.e, praying in tongues as a requirement and on outside contact for the first month and only letter writing and church (only visitation after the 30-day probation). While on probation, the only option of drink is tea (supposedly for "detox" purposes). Church service focuses mainly on praying in tongues for an hour, healing prayer and dancing around. Their doctrine is very unclear. Bible studies are limited and all translations are accepted. The senior members frown if a person considers leaving or taking another path in life and they stressed that a person does not talk to the next person about their plans. One of the house leaders even pressured me to attend church the day of my departure. My advice for those who feel trapped is pray for boldness and tell the leaders what you really feel and your reasons for leaving. Before accepting an invitation to a program, ask questions and consult with former members on their side of the story.
