YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

This gym is outdated and that is apparent when you walk in. The racquet ball courts are not well kept and remind me of the old out dated community rec center courts, which some people may prefer than the newer courts but it wasn’t for me. The Weight lifting & cardio areas have a mismatch of machines which a majority of them seem dated (This is not a corporate gym so there isn’t a refresh of equipment like you would see at a chain every few years) and there are not many resistance machines which is a huge issue for people not wanting to stack plates on machines. The track is pretty small width wise and the basketball court shouldn’t even be considered a court being uneven and a bit make shift if you ask me. The locker rooms are clean so that was a plus and if you are into tennis only this would be a good place to go. Never took a class so no feedback on that. Do yourself a favor and go month to month because these guys claim they are not like a big corporate gym but WILL trap you in a two year contract and moving 50 miles away or death will get you out of it. An LA fitness or a Fitness Edge will look pretty darn good after you have been to this place because they offer more amenities and have unlimited guest privileges unlike this gym. Not trying to bash them too much just being honest, and this is my opinion only, Hope this helps!

The personal trainers are excellent. A great value and I saw results that I would not have had without them.

I've been a member for 3 summers. LOVED going to the 57th street pool, until yesterday (broken glass incident).\r I think they have been very fair in their pricing structure, and the little perks like the yacht rides are great.\r Yes, you have to give them a certified letter in advance when you quit, but that's not a big deal. They just stop billing you until you want to rejoin. No big thing.\r I plan on joining every summer, I think it's wonderful to play in their sunny pool, then go for a ride on their yacht. Yes,\r there's a cover charge for the yacht, but it's reasonable and there is a free buffet (with FABULOUS desserts!)

I love it here. The staff members are always friendly. The facility is very clean. Cardio equipment readily available - plenty of it - which can be rare in the city, especially after work. Locker rooms are nice, neat & complete w/ helpful attendant. Thank goodness for this gym!!

I have been a member here for a while now. They have the facilities to create and incredible fitness and health environment. Unfortunately I think they sell themselves short with their staff. Great machines, weights, cardio equipment, and even the locker rooms. The only thing this place lacks is a bit of much needed energy and some smiles. I think they could build a gym experience thats engaging, granted it is a commuter gym. Being in the area it is in its understandable that people are constantly going in and out and do not want to be bothered. Me personally, I prefer it to be hands on.\r \r I recommend the Eucalyptus sauna.\r \r Mr. Nice Guy

My boyfriend and I went to check out the 13th street gym recently - because we were thinking of joining a gym. We liked the concept of NYHRC with the pools and the locations seemed convenient. I was quite disappointed by the locker rooms - very small/narrow and thank goodness I brought flip-flops, the floor was pretty dirty. We went in the off peak time so it was rather empty which was good but I can't imagine what it would be like if it was crowded... each floor is tiny. If you get a good deal, it may be worth it just to use the gym (workout and get the heck out) but don't count on cleanliness or amenities.. We're planning to checkout other NYHRC gyms before deciding... & we won't forget to bring flip flops for the locker room!!

I joined this club about year ago, the service I was promised when I signed up with them was not there. I thought that going to the Cityview Racquet Club would be a daunting experience - especially as I was promised the world by their senior management. Not a bit. Staff members were not very welcoming and when I started to use the gym and Squash Courts they were not too happy to help. I didn't see many people working out or in the courts most of the time-Looking at the equipment they have very limited range. The club policies are extremely unfriendly. I PERSONALLY WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS.
