They made my husband feel safe and so I will be returning to this facility since I will no longer go back to the one in Bell after getting rid of Dr. Freshwater.
You'll be seen by nurse practitioner, not a doctor.
It's difficult to contact them by phone--you get a taped message most of the time. Yesterday, I'm standing right in front of their receptionist, but she insists I must go and phone for an appointment. When you phone, she tells you to walk in at 8:00am. I missed a call from them and then had to call back about four times over the course of two days before I could get a live person on line. (Call the central office so they can connect you to the Live Oak office.)
They seem to have difficulty in giving you a definite appointment for some future date--they want you to walk in at 8:00 am. I arrived at 8:30 and was told I would be seen at 1:15 pm. Having another appointment elsewhere, I tried to get an appointment for a different day. No go; you have to walk in at 8:00 am. In the meantime, they know I am officially out of medicine for my condition and that seems of no importance to them. They won't allow me to renew the prescription until I sit and review my test results with the nurse, but that's like getting an audience with the Pope.
And the receptionist comes across as inattentive and surly, apparently always.
I'm switching to another doctor.
