Lucky Towing & Recovery
As the owner of Lucky's Towing and Recovery I would like to clear this up. I would love to make this customer happy if they would let me know who they are. This person has used a fake name on many many sites trying to hurt my business. I have older model trucks because I'm a newer company. This part is true, but they are clean and very well maintianed. I would never be rude to a customer. That would be bad business. I try to make everyone of my customers happy. Everyone knows some people you can't make happy no matter how hard you try you just can't make everyone happy. I am willing to try though. If the person who left this bad remark would please contact me at 501-888-8697 I would love to clear this up. If I ever wrong a customer I would ask them to contact me to make it better rather than slander my name. As you read my reveiws please keep in mind I am more than willing to go out of my way to do what I can to make your exsperiance enjoyiable. If you will take a moment to read the rest of the reveiws you will see that I am not a company thats about the dollar. Keep in mind I do have to charge to stay in business, but my heart is in helping people. I work for the Little Rock Fire Department full time. I lead a life of serving people. I went in business to help the people other wrecker services take an advantiage of. Everyone needs a little help from time to time and I am willing to do what it takes to help even if I don't make a profit. As you can see on my other reveiws I do perform a wonderful service for one of the cheapest prices in town. thank for your time Harris.Coy I would never give a price to a customer and change it unless the info given to me is false. Examples are winch outs if you tell me you are 2 foot off the road and it turns out to be 60 them the price would change. I never touch a car with out the customer knowing up front. I also work with payments to help people if the price is more than they can handle at the time. When I'm called to tow a car I tow it and the customer signs a ticket. If the is taking a car faulsly then I don't know what to do to make it better. My price as of rite now is 70.00 for towing in the Little Rock City limits. This includes tax. It doesn't matter if it's going next door or from on side to the other. This is a standard tow. If a car is in a parking deck, needs skates, is involved in a wreck with clean up and/or wait time, winching, or a ball joint out then prices will change acording to the problem and equipment I need. It is good to let a dispatcher know everything that's going on. Don't call and say I need a tow and your really 100ft in a feild. This happens all the time and when we arrive you will know the price of a tow. This isn't the price to winch you out then tow you. I love helping people and I even work eith you on pricing I'm not here to milk you out of money, but I am here to make money not loose it. Every minute we are on a scene cost and it has to be charged for according to what it is and how long it takes. Fuel, insurance, maintiance, labor, and wear and tear on the trucks cost. If it breaks it has to be fixed and this is why prices are what they are. So please keep in mind if you call for a tow make sure you tell the dispatcher of what ever company you use what is really going on.

Landers Toyota
We bought two cars from them. The sales part was fine. It's the service that has me disappointed. First: Had it serviced and they checked on the form that the tire pressure was good. On the way home, the tire light went on. I stopped at Firestone who generously aired my tires because they were low. Not another problem with them. Second; was in the area and noticed my headlight was out. Drove it into service and the woman looked at it and told me it would be 1.5 hour wait because to change the bulb that they had to take off the bumper. I left and called the parts desk and gave him my vin number and asked how long it would take and the cost. He asked which bulb and when I told him, he said it would take 30 minutes and cost $45. My husband didn't believe Toyota would make such a poor design that for a simple bulb that the bumper had to be removed and he was right. He bought the bulb for $12 and fixed it in 5 minutes. I will have to say though that North Point did the same thing with the headlight issue. I took it to both places for a reality check. Feels like a 65 year old woman is prey at these places. So disappointed. Why did I give them two stars? Because I like their waiting room and free car wash.

Carter Radiator Service Inc
This is the first experience with a mechanic where I felt taken care of, rather than taken advantage of. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The last mechanic I went to five years quoted me just under two grand to fix what was causing an Evap System code. I thought my only option was to just drive until my car died. My air conditioning went out sometime this winter, and I planned on just putting it off until it got warm. Charging an AC was a fix I knew I could afford so I went to Carter. Daniel checked out my car and the codes, did a full tune up, charged my AC, and fixed all the Evap System issues from five years ago for less than a quarter of what I was quoted! I can't begin to express how thankful I am. I will gladly return with any and all of my automotive issues in the future.

West End Garage Inc
My new favorite garage!!! Everyone was very friendly, professional and the shop and lobby were very clean. I took my motor home in for an oil and filter(s) change. Keith went through a very thorough checklist in examining my motor home in getting it ready for the road. He called me with the total price before doing the oil & filter changes. He put new wiper blades on for me and recommended one thing that I may want to look at down the road at some point. He was very reasonably priced and fixed only what I asked him too. Many other garages will recommend other "fixes" to increase the repair costs, but West End Garage did not. Very high class & reputable people here that you can easily trust and I am very happy that I discovered them. I highly recommend them.

Hillcrest German Auto
I took my 328i to this shop in November 2016 for a starter replacement. Paul was really nice and they replaced my starter. When I got my car back though, my check engine light was on. I called Paul to tell him the problem and he said he would check it out. He called me to tell me my engine heat sensor needed to be replaced and gave me a price around $200 plus. I didn't believe this at all. Long story short, I took my car to the BMW dealer regarding the check engine light and they told me my engine heat sensor was unplugged and that was what was causing my check engine light. I don't believe Paul would do something like this but someone in his shop is ripping people off and I almost became a victim too.

Crain Collision Center-Little Rock
Incredibly impressed. Bobby Bennings handled my service. I am very picky and I told him so. He took the time to take me to the shop and explain how they keep their paint areas dust free. He explained how they don't tape off areas, they remove parts and paint them separately. He caught that I named my vehicle (Bucko for those who might want to know) and referred to the same with every communication... and yes, they stayed in contact via email/txt even including pictures of the progress. The finished product was of superb quality and all work was done promptly and on time as promised. They even cleaned up the vehicle afterwards (my mess too). Top notch, absolutely no complaints

Parkway Automotive Svc
My car broke down. So I had it towed to Parkway. They tried to charge me $800 for a new radiator. I called several other places, all of whom assured me that the standard rate is 400-500. I went back in and confronted them, and they said maybe they had made a miscalculation...after some hassling they agreed to do it for 450 - which was surely nice of them to lower their price. After I got the car home I popped the hood to discover that the coolant level was I had to take it back for another hr so they could put coolant in it. I could be wrong, but I'm quite certain they made a calculated attempt to overcharge me. I would never recommend anyone go to Parkway.

Dru's Mobile Auto Repair
I was driving alone with my children, from Colorado to South Carolina, with my three children and the car would not start in Little Rock. I called our roadside service company (Allstate) and they were just going to tow the car. As I imagined the time it would take to get the car looked at in a shop, I called Dru's number. He arrived right away, even dealing with a car in a parking garage, and determined it was the alternator. He got us a replacement, installed it, and we were on our way before any of our loved ones keeping tabs on our journey even noticed. I can't imagine any service better than something that enables that. Thank you so much, Dru!

West End Garage Inc
You can trust these guys. A car melt down was my worst nightmare as I work in a different location each day, yet it happened right before the holidays and the snow/ice storm. Based on good ratings and a good review, we called West End Garage. They arranged for a towing service to get my van to their location, simply added the (very fair) cost to my bill, and got to work on diagnostics. They called with the results and said they'd call if more work would be needed. That was yesterday morning. This afternoon the van was up and running and the final bill was less than their estimate. I'd say we've found our "go to" garage.

Landmark Tire & Auto Service Inc
06/2011I used this repair shop to replace the radiator in my durango when it burst. They were able to replace it the same day I took it in and even tho it took longer to do the repair then estimated they didn't charge me for the extra labor hours. I will definitely continue to take my truck there for all future repairs. I returned to this shop today 02/24/2012 to have the compressor for my AC replaced. Estimate was spot on for accuracy. Great service and once again definitely trustworthy. Will continue to return for future repairs.
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
