Direct Car Care
First and foremost, Todd is awesome! I am a female with a high performance vehicle. Yes, a mechanic's dream. For 13 years I've owned this car and for 13 years I've had to pay dearly for it. All I've ever been to a mechanic is dollar signs. To be honest, I think I've bought this car 3 times over with the prices I've been charged over the years. I just gave up on the idea of an up front, fair and honest mechanic. But Todd? Omg, I obviously gave up too soon. I've waited 13 years for this man and I've finally found him! Just a mechanical genius! This is a man who truly has the passion for his business. He actually walked me over to my vehicle, showed me the problem and explained it in such detail that I, a woman understood! Lol. Now THAT I found to be most impressive being that I am by no means mechanically inclined. I left with more knowledge and information about my vehicle than I've ever known or thought I'd ever retain for that matter. It's almost like his interest made me more interested. And what's more, his prices are considerably reasonable! Yes, coming from me, that is huge! I have never been able to say that in 13 years. But it's not just Todd's honesty, openness, passion for the job and quality of work that separates him from the rest. It's the fact that he truly cares about his customer's satisfaction. For example, I bought a set of wheels that unbeknownst to me didn't fit my vehicle. I was so outdone, couldn't get my money back and at a complete loss. I asked Todd if there was anything he could do to make them fit. He was honest, didn't recommend widening the wholes for various reasons but I totally trusted his work, felt he could do anything and had no other option. Realizing my desperation he agreed to do everything he could and to my surprise, he did it! He didn't have to do it but he did! Point being. he goes above and beyond for his customers. And only charged me 1/3 of what I was expecting. And yes! It rides like a dream! How many mechanics do you know that cater to their customers moreso than the dollar? Exactly! Well it's about time you meet Todd. And Don is his right hand man. These guys are the cream of the crop! Focused, patient and efficient. And they show customer appreciation with raffles giveaways twice a year, winning anything from a gas card, money.. and this year he's giving away a car! Bottom line, if you're sick of the run around, it'd be well worth the trip. All it takes is once to get addicted. Believe me, I know! Direct care auto.. I can't even think of a better name to describe these guys approach to business. Doesn't get any better than this. I took the time to write this review so you all can understand why. These guys deserve much more than a recommendation. I had to give them praise.

I took my car into a shop by my house. The "mechanic" told me it needed a new alternator and battery and was going to cost me $424 to have this done. I started panicking as financially I did not have this. I called around to different places and I ended up calling here. I talked to Jason and explained what happened. He gave me an estimated price over the phone. I went to the location in Lincoln Park and he gave me a different price than what Jason had told me. I called Jason back and he even took more time on the phone and explained things to me. Well he told me to take it to his other shop in Dearborn Heights which I did. They pulled my car in very quickly and ran tests and discovered there was nothing wrong with my battery or alternator. They said they couldn't fix what wasn't broken. This was a huge relief and gave me confidence in this manager and mechanics at this location. I even offered them $20 for their time and they would not take it. The mechanics there are named Josh and Richard. As I told Jason, mechanics are automatically on my do not trust list but after this experience I have let my guard down and feel a bit easier about these guys. Thank you again Jason, Richard and Josh.

Mr. Deen's Auto Service
My care was broke down down the street from Mr. Deens shop and I walked over an told the guys what had happened. They were SO kind and professional! The owner actually sent one of his guys with me to my car to try to get it going right on the side of the road! (Sadly it was broken beyond a roadside repair) but they did not even charge me for a service call or anything! I am having the car towed there in the morning and having them repair it for me. I personally have heard nothing but great things from the locals about these guys. Now, they use to be in a building closer to Southfield Rd, and since they moved here, I think they are getting backlash from the previous tenants in the building (from what I am reading). I have known these guys for a little while, and they are fair and friendly and do good work. Don't let a couple of negative reviews for one reason or another "steer" you away. Roger (the owner) will make sure you are well taken care of. I am VERY cautious about auto shops, and it is hard to find a good one, but I really trust these guys.

Todd and the gang are awesome, very nice and honest business. I was referred to them by a close friend who have been taking there car there for service. I bought a older 2002 Grand Prix and took it there to have it checked out before driving it on the road. Got a estimate for things they found wrong with the car. I shopped around a few places close by my home but no service station came close to being as friendly or could beat the price. I had a appointment to take my car in on a Tuesday morning for service but then plans came to a end when I had to go to hospital for a emergency appendix surgery that morning. Todd told one of my co-workers who referred me they would go pick up my car and fix it while I was at hospital. That was so nice of them to do that for me and after they got it done they drove it back to my house. It was a pleasant surprise to wake up to my car parked in my driveway good as new. It drives like a dream and now I'm enjoying my new/old car. Thanks a bunch to Direct car care you guys are awesome.

def a good shop to go to if you don't wanna be given the run-around, my friend recommended I call them when my car wouldn't start, because of the free towing, I had to go to work so they towed it to their shop while I was gone, and called me halfway through my shift to tell me it was my starter and they would have it done that day. They offered for me to pick it up after hours since I get off work after theyre closed, because they understood the urgency of needing my vehicle asap. I thought that was very thoughtful and not something I've had the pleasure of experiencing at any of the other shops I've been to.. these people at this business don't make you uncomfortable, and don't hike the prices up because they think I'm some naive girl. I'm really happy my friend suggested I call, overall great experience. cool to see a local business expand to 3 shops, wish them the best in their endeavors

First, I just wanted to say that I never write reviews for anything. My car broke down a few days ago on my way to school and this was in/near livonia on 275 right before 6mile. Not only did they tow my car for free, but even gave me a ride to school so I wouldn't be late for class! I've broke down a few times before and never had such great service. I had to be at school the next day as well and could not make it back home before closing time and they had someone at the shop past closing time so I could pick my car up! This is all before they repaired my ujoint and gave me a new tire. Mind you a new tire for me is $170 because I have to have certain ones for my rims. They only charged me $100 really couldn't believe it!! Will never take my car anywhere else. Thanks guys!

Jack's Auto Repair
As a women I am very skeptical of mechanics. But Sam at the front counter seemed very knowledgeable and very informative, he took my boyfriend and I to the shop area and had his mechanic matt explain and show us the issue with my vehicle, I was taken by the honesty and pricing. I called two other repair shops in the area and Jack's was definitely cheaper. Sam assured me that this was the problem with my vehicle and guaranteed me if that didn't fix my problem I would not have to pay, I took him up on that offer, and lord behold my issue was corrected. I am very fond of this repair facility and would recommend to friends and family. Thank you and your wonderful staff you have gained a customer for life, god bless you Guys. Ashley Rodgers

Downriver Leaf Spring Service
Great Service and Very pleased with there honesty and expertise with the rough country lift kit my husband and I installed on our 97 Chevy Pick up and very fair pricing. After lifting and putting all new front end parts on our Chevy it was pulling off to one side. We took it into a Chevy dealer and unfortunately they where unable to align correctly. We found Downriver Spring and they had our Chevy riding straight as an arrow. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, we will be passing your name along to our friends and family. After my step dad seen and heard about the great service and fair pricing he ordered a Rough Country 6" lift for his 2014 GMC and had Downriver Spring Service install it. It looks great, Thank you very much!!!

Riverside auto is amazing ! My car was leaking oil so I went to a quick lube oil change place where I was told my rear main seal was leaking. After doing some home work I found that it would cost around seven hundred to one thousand to fix since it involved removing the engine and trans to even reach the seal to replace, I called jay at riverside auto he said he would run a check to see if that's were it is actually leaking from, my car was at the shop for 3hrs when I recieved a call saying my car was looked at and it was just a valve cover thank God jay checked first, he saved me over 600 dollars !!!!!
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
