Lincoln Auto Painting
In 2011 I took a recently purchased used vehicle to the Lincoln store for an estimate for work on the front and rear "Bumpers" which are actually fiberglass. Their estimate was less than 1/3 of that quoted by a major shop in Lincoln. The work was done promptly and the results were very satisfactory. In 2014, I once again went to the Lincoln shop to have both "Bumpers" given the same treatment but without the repair work which was done on the original job. The person who does estimates was absent that day and a worker from the back came out and wrote up the job, never showing me what he had written and told me I would hear from them. In a short period of time I was called by the receptionist who advised me that the cost would be nearly double that of 2011. I declined and told her that it was too much of an increase to which she replied, "Well, costs have gone up". I intend to return soon at a time when the estimator is present to see what the outcome of that discussion will be. I have absolutely no complaint about the quality of work or the cost of the 2011 job and have been completely satisfied with that. The 3 stars reflects only the current contact.

Joe's Body Shop
I was told from a co-worker that this is the only place they take their car and that I should take mine there for repair from sombody running a stop sign. I could not be happier! They were super nice and helpful and they handled all of the dealing with the other insurance company and even set me up with a rental car. They kept me up to date on what was going with my car through the procsess. The insurance company wanted them to use parts that did not fit but Joe's showed them that they did not fit poperly and fought with them about using new parts. Insurance company gave in and my Honda is not back in shape and better than ever! What started out as a crappy situation, they made as pleasant as possible for me. I found my body shop for life. Thanks, Ryan.

Miracle Workers Auto Collision Center
Prompt, courteous, honest service. I recently had my first car accident where I had to actually make a claim with the insurance company. The whole event was nerve wracking. I called my regular mechanic for a recommendation since they do not do body work. They strongly recommended Miracle Workers. My call was answered promptly and I was told I could bring my vehicle in at any time during business hours. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and was seen by the owner, Steve, within five minutes. The waiting area was very clean and even child friendly with a play table. I explained my situation and my confusion with the insurance process. Before even going out to see my car, Steve explained my rights as a Nebraska driver which cleared things up greatly. He was sympathetic to my situation despite the accident being my fault. He assessed my vehicle on the spot, explaining he was documenting all he could see, but being honest that some damage wouldn't be known until the car was taken apart. He took us back to his desk inside and explained how he was coming up with the estimate. He kept the screen turned to us while creating the estimate, this made me trust him as I felt there was no 'trickery' going on. He printed a copy out when he was done and explained alternative options and what he had seen done before with similar accidents, cars and with the insurance company I was working with. I'm sure that Steve could tell the car was going to be totaled out upon seeing it, but he still took the time to go over all the details with us. That really meant a lot to me. He gave us a detailed print out of what repairs would cost along with his business card and encouraged us to call with any questions we had. While I didn't get the opportunity to use Miracle Workers for their repair work this time, due to the car being totaled out, I would certainly use them in the future based on this experience. The prices were within reason and the labor was quoted as well so there weren't any surprises.
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
