Steve's Automotive Repair
When I moved back to Liberty, one of my priorities was to find a good independant service center for my family's cars. Recommended by a Goodyear tech I found Steve at his old location............Quick Service? No, (go to Jiffy Lube). Dependable? Yes. Professional? Yes. Honest? Absolutely! So don't get POed if he tells you that your car has 200K on the odometer, is over ten years old and you might want to think about getting a newer model. That to me is class. My Mother uses Steves and my daughters when in town, always get their cars serviced at Steves.

Gene's Tire & Service Center
My son's car died at the side of the road one evening. We called Gene's and right away they sent a tow truck for the car and took it to the shop. The next day they called to let us know what was wrong and fixed it - he's had no problems since and it's been a few months since the issue occurred. The prices for repair were very reasonable and they were very professional and courteous. Gene's has won all our future business and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

After having Cottman Transmission rip us off on a rebuilt $2800 transmission for our Lexus, took our RX300 to Shane at Toy Techs. Should have done it the first time but didn't know they were around. Got coupon in mail for a free second opinion on transmission work and took it to the pro! Shane put in a real rebuilt transmission from Lexus and our Lexus runs like new. So smart and so caring. Really know his stuff!

This is one great company. Took my car in today with a laundry list of things to do. When I was called to pick it up, they said no worked needed at this time and no charge for the inspection. They had to spend 2 hours on the car! No Charge? They said they would charge when the work was needed! Amazing! Unbelievable! I know where all of my future business will go!

Steve's Automotive Repair
I have been taking all my cars to Steve's for 15 years and I have never had a bad experience. Everyone I talk too that needs car repairs, I send to Steve. He is totally honest, never does unnecessary work, and stands by his work. Its a great relief to know that I can trust him always, even if its my daughter or wife that's bringing in a car.

Truly one of the most phenomenal shops in the KC area. Super honest. Thoughtful about minimizing the cost of the repair to the customer. Smart. While not the least expensive place to get repairs made, it is always super high value because of the rationality, safety, and honesty.

Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
