South Lake Family Dental
I have been to 2 dentists in 4 months, who both gave me the same 2 options-- expensive and extensive dental work totaling upwards of $20,000 OR pull 8 teeth and the last 3 wisdom teeth and get partials, which would cost more than $4000. Dr. Wellman made it very clear that getting my mouth HEALTHY was most important, and saving several teeth with fillings is very possible. Doctor and staff were so warm and welcoming, they kept an eye on my toddler (which I didn't expect) and were more concerned with saving my teeth and making a plan I could afford than with making money off of me. I was so depressed about the fate of my teeth after the last 2 appointments, but you guys gave me hope! Thank you so much!

I am "one of those people" who is terrified of dentists.. I, a 43 yo woman cried in his chair.. He held my hand and told me he was here for me, and would never allow anyone on his staff to hurt me. I now look forward to going.. My husband & 16 yo son also love them also.

Brad Pitts Family & Cosmetic Dentistry
I wish I had gone to Dr. Pitts sooner. Every time i went to my old dentist's office, I would expect to wait at least an hour. With Dr. Pitts and his staff, sometimes I don't even have to sit down in the waiting room. They are great.

I was so afraid to visit the dentist! Dr. Bumgardner listened to my concerns, and together we planned a way to move forward to improve my dental health. Wonderful experience.

Dr. Brad Pitts really came up with a fantastic solution by going through dental implants. Now my smile is as good as new and they feel so natural and real. Thanks Doc!

I like the staff a whole bunch. They are very professional and the office is always clean. From what I can see, they don't need any room for improvements.

Dr. Pitts and his staff are great about keeping appointments on schedule as much as they can so that there is not an hour wait in the waiting room.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the prosthetic.
  • Dental implants, when cared for properly, can last a lifetime.
  • Crowns typically last between 10-15 years.
  • Resin-bonded bridges typically last between seven  and 10 years. Tooth-supported fixed bridges generally wear out faster than this.
  • Removable partial dentures typically last around 15 years.
  • Complete dentures typically last between five and six years.
The entire process for adding dental implants could take as long as eight months. There are three phases:
  • Phase 1: Grafting. This may take between three and six  months.
  • Phase 2: Artificial root placement. This may take one to two  hours to complete and will take between three and six  months to heal.
  • Phase 3: Crown placement. This is usually done over the course of two visits, two weeks apart.
One dental implant typically costs $1,000-$3,000. However, the abutment (a connector added onto the top of a dental implant) and crown can add $500-$3,000. Multiple dental implants may cost $3,000-$30,000. A full set of implant dentures may cost as much as $90,000, though the average is around $34,000.
A dental implant is a titanium post shaped like a natural tooth's root that is surgically inserted into the jawbone beneath the gums. These posts allow dentists to secure a replacement tooth or bridge in the correct position.
Maxillofacial prosthesis is a subspecialty of prosthodontics. A maxillofacial prosthesis is meant to rehabilitate patients who have defects or disabilities due to trauma, disease, or those that a patient is has from birth. The prosthesis is designed to replace parts of the bone or tissue that are missing, or to help restore functions of the mouth, such as swallowing, chewing, or speaking. Other prostheses are created to protect the face during radiation therapy. Dentists that work with maxillofacial prostheses often collaborate closely with ear, nose, and throat doctors.
