W Thomas Bunch Atty
This law office did a great job on our bankruptcy. W Thomas Bunch was extremely thorough, careful, and knowledgeable through out our case. The staff and lawyers were quick to respond to our needs and questions. They had our best interest at heart. During this stressful time for us personally they were able to calm our fears and concerns. W Thomas Bunch fought for our rights and helped us to walk away from the bankruptcy with a new perspective on life and a fresh start. He extended so much unashamed grace for us we felt cared for like family. His experience and downright good people skills can not be matched. He did not charge enough money for what we could have lost if we had gone to another attorney. His son, Tom II, also did our wills and living wills and was extremely thorough and professional. I would recommend these lawyers to family or friends any day! Stop looking! You have found the right lawyers!

Thompson Law Office
Eddie Thompson is a very professional and personal family law attorney. He fought a case for my family and I, and prevailed with the results we were looking for. Initially I thought I could handle this, but the first time I was in a court room I found out very quickly that an attorney knows what a judge wants to hear as the other party had counsel. I asked for a continuance and sought legal counsel quickly before my next court date. Although the case was long and drawn out by the opposing party, Mr. Thompson never gave up. He created a plan, implemented it, and executed it perfectly. I have and will again recommend Eddie Thompson to anyone dealing with a family court case in Kentucky.

Thompson Law Office
Eddy Thompson was the very first person and the only person whom I thought of when I needed a lawyer to defend a family member. I do not trust just anyone to defend my family. Eddy Thompson and his staff I trust with all I got. I highly recommend them. I have in the past and will continue to do so. Not only are Eddy and Dori outstanding lawyers, they are very compassionate people. They represent their clients as if they were representing their own family. Anytime I had a question, they answered it immediately. Thompson Law Office went above and beyond to help me and my family and with great results I might add, and for that I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Thompson Law Office
Thompson Law Office (Eddy and Dori) are, quite simply, amazing. I arrived at their office in a mild panic (even though a judge and another attorney recommended them to me). With calm and cool, they (sans any sugar-coating) explained the gravity of the situation, the realities we were facing, and then stepped up to the plate and took the proper steps to win the case. It took time and the road was not easy, but they made it happen.Very compassionate, very direct, very hands-on, and very real.I’d recommend Thompson Law - www.ethompsonlaw.com - for any family court needs. From where I stand, it just doesn’t get any better. Period.

Clark Law Office
I was looking for a lawyer in Lexington Ky. I searched the web and found Clark Law Firm. I had no information on this law firm however decided to give them a call. I must say that I have been very satisfied with them. They were very professional and at the same time they make me feel like family. They were very prompt in returning phone calls and keeping me updated on my case. I was very pleased with the outcome of both my civil suit and compensation settlement. I would definitely use this law firm again and highly recommend them for any legal issues one may have. T.Clevinger, Grundy Va.

Porter Law Offices
These guys are awesome. I am a truck driver and have a crazy schedule. Mr. Porter and his staff worked around my schedule, at my convenience, even meeting with me on weekends. They got my bankruptcy filed quickly and handled everything in a professional manner. The garnishment that was on my check stopped within 48 hours AND they got most of the money taken before refunded! I would highly recommend them to anyone in Central Kentucky that needs a bankruptcy or anything else.

Eddy Thompson is a very professional attorney. He is honest and always had my best interest in mind. Amanda was always quick to return my phone calls and emails, and never beat around the bush. My divorce case was complicated. I was very impressed with how Eddy handled everything and I gained a lot of respect for him as an attorney and a person throughout this whole process. I strongly recommend this law firm to anybody that is going through a divorce.

Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
