ImmediaDent - Urgent Dental Care
I want to start out by saying that I myself am a dental assistant and I expect a lot out of a dentist office because I know how things should be done. I started having horrible tooth pain on a Friday afternoon and it became unbearable by Saturday morning. I found Immediadent online and was relieved to find out I could be seen as a walk in on a Saturday. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and someone assisted me with the check in process. The staff were constantly checking to make sure I was okay and if I needed anything. They constantly apologized for my wait time, but I thought it was very reasonable since I was not a scheduled patient and Saturday is a very busy day. The assistant explained before hand what the procedure would be so there would be no confusion. Prices were gone over with me before treatment so I understood exactly what it would cost. Dr. Hann had a great chairside manner and provided me with one of the most painless tooth extractions I have ever experienced. My husband and I will definitely return and make Immediadent our regular dentist office!

Kool Smiles of Lexington
Very impressed. I went to Kool Smiles because they were the only dentist in the area who accepted my insurance. First of all, the facility is very family friendly with a play area in the waiting room, and double sided windows for parents to view their children from the waiting room while they are getting teeth cleanings and whatnot. Parents can see the kids, but the kids be distracted by the parents. I went in for a surgical extraction. The last one I had, at a different dentist, took HOURS. So I expected the same. My appointment was at 10, but I got there at 9:30, so I knew I would have to wait a while. I was called back at 10:35. I was in the chair being numbed at 10:45, and at 11:05 I was walking out the door with one less tooth. They were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this Kool Smiles branch.

Boyd, Teresa M, DMD
I had an unbelievably wonderful experience. I had been suffering with mouth pain for a few years now, but dreaded going to the Dentist because I just knew they were going to have to pull teeth. So after my wife nagged me for an eternity I decided to just go ahead and go see a Dentist. I looked around online and decided I would give Boyd Thornton Dental a try, and I am glad I did because as it turns out all I needed was a good cleaning and a Filling. The staff there were very friendly, knowledgeable, and "Easy on the eyes". I would recommend them to anyone because I really appreciated that I was treated like a 'Person" and not just a "patient" and that they didn't try to make me get something that I didn't need just to Upsell and make some extra money.

Hishmeh Dental
Very Professional, Friendly, Experenced, Comfortable Atmosphere, Reasonable Rates, Plus Convenient Location !The first time I went in, I was embarrassed having an abscess. I had not been to the dentist in a few years. Dr Hishmeh & Staff were very Knowledgeable, Gental & Reassuring. They took Care of my Immediate Problem and Addressed the rest of my mouth, Truly "Total" Dental Care. Dr. Hishmeh also Placed 2 Dental Implants. Today, I have No Cavities (originally had 6), No Sensitivity, No Gaps, and Absolutely No Pain now or During the Procedures. Now I can Chew Anything, and Consider the Implants as my own Teeth (they seem so natural).I Feel Soo Lucky, Thankful & Blessed, that I had found them.

Brewer Family Dental
Dr. Brewer and the Team Are the Greatest! I am always greeted by the beautiful and cheerful ladies at the desk. Everyone is very sweet and professional. Dr. Brewer is gentle and considerate when working on sensitive teeth. I am a cancer patient and I had an infection in one my teeth after chemotherapy, but Dr. Brewer took the time out to try different methods to getting it taken care of. He even refers out for more extensive work if needed. In all, they are the greatest family dental practice around. I am telling everyone I know to take their family to see Dr. Brewer!

Harris Family Dentistry
Terrific service! Every time I have gone to a dentist the cleaning is always the worst part, with the hygienest always scraping my gums and hurting my teeth. However at this practice, Beth was exceptionally gentle and efficient. Terrific cleaning and the dentist was very thorough. State of the art equipment and the first time I have ever had a head x-ray along with teeth x-ray at the dentist. Very impressed with the service. Get anxious at your dental visit? They have any Netflix video for you to choose to keep your mind off the cleaning. Very impressed.

Modern Kids Dentistry
The best pediatric dentistry office in Lexington! Dr. Raybould is the best and is staff is very caring. The office has a very welcoming atmosphere and staff. Child appropriate movies in waiting room along with a station of iPads for kids to play. Office has a train that runs on tracks through out the office. Individual widescreen TV's for child to pick a movie or show while being treated. My ADHD, OCD, and high anxiety child has done wonderful under their care. Can't say enough about this amazing office.

Hamburg Expressions
I put off having dental work done for way too long and once I knew I couldn't put it off any longer, I found Dr. Miller and her amazing staff! I love the atmosphere in the office! It is very open, which lets you feel like you're not at the dentist at all. Dr. Miller is very gentle and takes great concern for your comfort. She is also very thorough and takes the time to explain or answer any questions or concerns. Don't hesitate to go see Dr. Miller and her staff!

Kool Smiles of Lexington
Everyone u have encountered in the back is great. However this past time I went, the front office staff was really rude. They wouldn't look at you, were really short with us, and a little snippy. When I called to make an apt I got the same attitude. Very short, fast, and rude. My child loves it there, but I may leave based on the staff that greats you when you walk through the door. They set the beginning tone for your visit, and it's not a good one!

Dr. Fenn was so awesome and super friendly. When he gave me the numbing shot in the palate of my mouth and he noticed that I was about to cry, he immediately apologized. I, unfortunately, don't remember the name of his assistant, but she was awesome and super friendly as well. Thanks for giving me such a great experience while having two badly damaged teeth removed! I've been recommending your clinic to everyone I know!!
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
