Very rude! I couldn't get in MY trunk due to an accident (not my fault) I got permission from the other insurance company to do what I needed to get into MY trunk to get stuff out! I started to use crow bar and guy ran out & said gonna take pictures before you do that. I said ok but insurance said they called & told your company I had permission to do what needed to get in trunk! He said your using a crowbar! So after he took his pictures of MY car!I used crow bar to bend up side to get hand in to unlatch back seat to pull stuff out!The guy came running out cussing at me about messing with MY car! He stated about losing value & scrap yard could use back! Which is my loss in My car anyway! I said ok understand that, I am good with that since insurance co. & Appraiser gave permission!I proceeded to drive out, he ran out and closed fence gates and locked me in!! Scary!!Then said he called cops! I just said ok rolled up window & waited! So upsetting & I am pretty sure illegal! Then cops asked what's going on, told him and he said well he just didn't like tearing up car could be scrapped!!WHAT!! Once again this is MY car and would be my loss anyway! As if getting hit my drunk driver wasn't enough! So upsetting being treated like this!

Rick's Car Care
Told me I needed a new oil pan, but went and got a second look from Honda and got told it was a blown head gasket. Also went and told him I wanted a full inspection of my car so I could fix important things ( my car is really old and has some obviously issues) and he didn't tell me that my radiator fan fuse was broken or whatever... my car overheated on the interstate a week later. Guys seem to have no issue with ricks, it seems like he wants to rip off the girls.

Curt's Auto Service
Had Curt rebuild my van because he needed the money a few years ago. All I wanted was a van with my AC fixed because I was going through chemo and I had a fever. . 11 times that asshat had my van to fix my AC and it's still broke. What would you think if you had a repairman come to fix your home AC 11 times.

I always trust Mike and he has always done me fairly. I don't know the details behind these other reviews but he sets me up an appointment ASAP and lets me know just how busy he is. He is very fair with his price.

Rick's Car Care
I've taken my family cars to Rick for well over 10 years. He is honest as the day is long! I recommend him to everyone I know. I would never take my car anywhere else.

They are rude. I called on behalf of my boyfriend to see how much it would cost to get his car out after being in a car accident. They told me that he would have to be the one to call to get that information. I was fine with that but the lady I was talking to was very rude and short with me. She was the same way the day before when I had called to ask what time they closed and what we needed to bring with us to get the car.

as with previous reviews i had not seen til after the dealing with Mike i would not recommend doing business here. i was given a lot of excuses & dates as to when my vehicle would be done over a several month period. the 1997 gmc jimmy that was ours that he was to replace the engine in was finally done or we led to believe & told we could pick it up 11-27-2013 @ 1 pm Mike said he had a test drive & if he wasnt there the keys to it would be under the mat. long story short husband went to pick up @115 & shop was locked & no where on the property was our vehicle to be found. waited an hour still no Mike no reply's on texts or calls from him. finally reached him at home number which he was upset about & he said it was there @1230 when he left & we argued then he tried to say we was pulling something on him over it. said he would look at tapes when he got back on fri & i said i would be there fri with the police. police report made & a month later still no vehicle to be found. Mike wont return calls or texts concerning insurance coverage for shop since he might be liable. so word of advice dont go here for repairs got pictures posted online of our vehicle & where it was stolen from, contacted ohio attorney general over this & will continue with this fight for justice. cant afford a replacement or lawyers fees but will continue with media or where ever i can. anyone who has bad dealing please report this place before it messes up another person's life i beg of you the squeaky wheel gets greased

Rick's Car Care
I have been doing business with Rick since he came to Lebanon and have never had an issue with his service.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
