Bui's Auto Repair Inc
They will smile and agree to do the work for one price. Once your car is disassembled, they will call you and tell you that you need additional work that will cost just as much as the amount you agreed to pay. Once you get the work done for TWICE AS MUCH, the receipt will say NO GUARANTEE. Now any decent person charging close to 600.00 for work will want to guarantee the work. It's just integrity. If they charge high prices and won't guarantee the work, it's not worth going. My car is still idling low. Disappointing.

Paradise Island Smoke Shop
apparently the only way this store can make sales is to make up lies about other smoke shops and pretend like other shops are in trouble to boost their sales.

Myles truck repair
I was on my way to Florida when my truck made a loud boom and started smoking. I called Myles truck and the service manager advised me it was probably a turbo and he would send his wrecker to tow me in. Within 30 minutes of my call the folks at Myles had their wrecker to me to tow me in. They were able to diagnose the problem very quickly (which was a turbo by the way) and get me all fixed up by lunch time the next day. Myles did an awesome job getting me back on the road. Everyone there was nothing but stellar. Can not recommend these guys enough.

Top Notch Collision
An unknown assailant put a big dent in my brand-new car - didn't leave note or wait for me to come out of store, so I was stuck with paying for the repair. I stopped by Top Notch Collision for an estimate and Alan was so very helpful. He explained the insurance process to me (I had never filed a claim before). He talked with me for 30 mins, not knowing if he would even get my business. I had already been to two other shops for estimates and they could've cared less that I was there - gave me a quick estimate and sent me on my way. So, I chose Top Notch Collision - though my insurance company "encouraged" me to choose one of their "select service" shops. And I am so very glad I chose TNC! My car looks great!! You would never know the repair was made. I have a three-process paint job that had to be blended into the surrounding parts and it is flawless! And the staff took care of everything. I didn't have to haggle with the insurance company. The day I picked my car up, Alan even handled returning the rental car for me. I will most certainly recommend Top Notch Collision - not only is the repair top quality, but the customer service is "top notch".

Jan-Feb 2017Take your car/truck anywhere but here. I took my truck here to get the head gasket replaced. The owner insisted he knew what he was doing and assured me my truck was in good hands. After weeks of waiting and constantly having to call about my truck the owner implied the reason it was taking so long because of the weather. He put me on the back burner because he didnt have "room" in his garage to put my truck. Needless to say, if it was raining or the weather was bad my truck wasn't being worked on. A couple weeks and $3,700 later, I finally get my truck back. Three days later, the head gasket blew again. I called BUI to inform him of what happend and he wanted ME to pay to have it towed back to his shop. I sent him specific instructions pertaining to my truck and the route he should take to fix it. He never bothered to read those instructions. After the head gasket blew again, I took my truck to another shop who proceeded to tell me that the turbo gasket this guy put in was a homemade gasket instead of the metal one it requires. They also told me the bolts he used were all torqued at different levels. I called BUI once again to complain and he offered me $1500 of my original $3700 I paid and when I told him that wasnt good enough he said he would see me in court. I wouldnt trust this guy to install a lightbulb in my truck! Dont make the same mistake I did.

Daf Auto Repairs
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! Do not take your car to this unprofessional unskilled unreliable shade tree mechanic. The shop's owner, Godwin, is your typical shade tree, fast-talking, dishonest mechanic. As far as my experiences with him go, I've learned that you can't trust that your car will be finished when he says it will be. Also his inspections are not thorough so his diagnosis is consistently inaccurate. His work is never done correctly the first time; every time I have taken my car to his shop I've had to bring it back so that he can redo the work he did poorly or fix the things he missed initially which results in the waste of my time and my resources. Ultimately whatever is wrong with your car when you bring it to him will still be wrong with your car when you pick it back up. Communication with him is a nightmare because he's a know-it-all and doesn't listen. If you are looking for a good and trustworthy mechanic Godwin and Daf Auto is definitely not deserving of your hard earned money. Trust me.

The below comment was a misunderstanding that should not have been received a negative review over. All extra work was approved through me and it was misunderstood by Christoper that I paid more than my quote. The cost difference was for much needed work performed to my struts. Mahmud did a fantastic job on my van. And it is riding perfectly. I recommend his expertise and prices highly.

This shop is not known by many, but it is one of the efficient and quick service you will ever get.$
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
