Lawrenceville Florist
A dear friend of ours recently passed away in Georgia. We live in Connecticut and can't make the trip to pay our respects. I searched for a florist nearby and found Lawrenceville Florist. I was skeptical as all my interactions with florists have not been the greatest. I feared the arrangement wouldn't arrive on time or the arrangement would be nothing like I ordered. I went ahead and placed my order. I added the hours and location of the service. I scheduled it for same day delivery and hoped it could be done. The flowers arrived right on time and the arrangement is BEAUTIFUL! I couldn't be happier. I'm so appreciative and absolutely love how amazing this transaction went. I would totally recommend Lawrenceville Florist to everyone!!Another positive, they had better prices than the other guys. ;)

Country Garden Florist
Decided to give them a try on a whim today. Was looking for something special for my husband of 30 years this Valentines weekend but had no idea what to get the love of my life after all these years. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating.....true "Southern Belles" with southern charm that had me laughing and giggling like a young school girl. Their creative suggestions made me feel great about what to get him, and now that I've seen the finished product, I felt inspired to share my positive experience at Country Garden! Thanks again ladies!!!

I JUST BOUGHT SOME PRAIRIE CITY DONUTS FROM THEM ABOUT 30 MINUTES AGO. I OPENED THE PACAGE AND THEY WERE GREEN WITH MOLD ON THEM. THE STORE MANAGER/OWNER NEEDS TO PAY MORE ATTENTION TO HIS PRODUCT.

Huff's Flowers
I met with a woman at Huff's Flowers over two weeks ago to discuss flowers for my wedding. At the 3 previous florists I had met with, I received a quote on the spot. Huff's told me that they would have to research the candelabra I wanted and send me a quote shortly. It's been over two weeks...and still no quote! Even if they came back with the cheapest price I would never trust them to do my flowers if they can't even get me a quote in a timely manner.

Lawrenceville Florist
Fantastic customer service! I was unexpectedly unable to attend a recent funeral. I called the florist one hour prior to the start of the service and the owner personally delivered the arrangement on time.

Tips & Advices
Making the trip to your local florist means you can actually get the chance to stop and smell the roses. But the hours they are open can be more restrictive.
Online flower shops, work with wholesale florists near your area to ensure they deliver your order promptly. Since cut flowers don't have a long shelf life, these Internet-based companies take your request and contract it out to a florist in your locale to design it and drop it off at your home or office. While purchasing flowers online is convenient - there are a few things the online stores cannot offer patrons. You can't smell the fragrance of flowers and you can't touch the petals or leaves before you buy the plant. Additionally, when you buy a bouquet over the Internet, you're basing your decision on a stock photo of the item instead of the actual one that will arrive at your doorstep.
Yes. These experts can tell you the best ways to take care of your plants or how to properly cut the stems of flowers to ensure they last longer in your vase. Ask them vase to use with which flower and how much water and plant food you should use to prolong the life of your bouquet or potted plant. Even though retail florists don't usually grow the blooms or plants themselves, they do know the best ways to keep your arrangement looking fresh for longer.
Flowers, especially the lotus, figure prominently in Hindu and Buddhist religious ceremonies, as well as in these two ancient religions' wedding customs. Many florists provide garlands of flowers to decorate and festoon the functions with.
Lilies, as well as daffodils and tulips, are especially popular around these spring holidays.
