Best In Show Dog Grooming
I found this company last week online on yp. i called and the girl on the phone was super sweet she explain everything in detail on how they groom. i'm they type of person that looks at customer service 100%. I took my puppy monster in and the girl (idk her name) made an effort to get to know monster. she hung out with him before she took him back because it was his first grooming. they did the cut exactly the way i asked. my puppy always bites when hes scared and i told them it was oki to use the muzzle on him. she said she was going to wait till he reacted before putting it on. monster bit her 4 times and i saw the marks but she said she waited before putting it on. she was super gentle towards him and i got a call to pick him up. when i pulled up and saw he kissing and hugging my insecure chihuhaua you could tell he loved her too. he was so0o0o0o0o happy running out of there.. i'm not going anywhere else because these people were so0o0o sweet i told all my friends and they loved monsters new look!

Best In Show Dog Grooming
I have a Husky/Collie mix who is both hairy and beautiful. She has a lot of hair! I thought I needed to shave her to get her to get rid of the extra coat each season and then try to keep her brushed etc. I was wrong! I took her to BIS and they told me that a good raking and undercoat removal was a better alternative to shaving her...damn were they right! The very first trip, and my Bella came out absolutely gorgeous! Now, I'm a pretty macho, tough guy but when my girl came out of the back room with a couple bows in her hair and one helluva beautiful grooming, I was instantly made a very happy customer. I'm not one to throw a shout-out or prop where it isn't due...but BIS deserves the recognition for a job very well done. Bella and I will be back!

Love A Pup
This shop is just wonderful!! They always fit you in and genuinely love their jobs and the animals that come in. I have a "problem child" doggy and they are so sweet and give her extra TLC! Donny and Tiffany are soo great and really have a wonderful thing going here. This shop and its owners are the picture of the "mom and pop" businesses we should be backing....Donny is a veteran Marine and is going back to school to become a teacher and is such a joy to talk to. His wife Tiffany is a sassy and sweet chick who LOVES animals. They often have their beautiful little daughter there helping out. What a wonderful and family oriented shop that takes care of their animals and their customers!! Kudos to you Love A Pup!

Best In Show Dog Grooming
I called Best In Show this morning and the lady who answered the phone said that they were busy but since my Jack Russell only needed a simple visit with no cuts that I could just bring him in and it would be no problem. When we arrived my Jack Russell at first tried to bit the guy up front, but he showed us that if we handed him the dog backwards he would be more accepting of someone else holding him. I have had issues in the past with him biting groomers but when i went and got him he said that he was great and everyone loved him. He looks so good, we walked home and he strutted the whole way. I will never take my dog to another groomer this place did and amazing job for half the price of everyone else in town!

Love A Pup
I have been a customer of Luv A Pup since its opening day. From the beginning, they have been professional, clean, and accommodating. My dogs look and feel terrific after their grooming, and I have recommended them to many others. It angers me to read the lies in the review written by russ b. I know that this review was written by a disgruntled employee of Luv A Pup who was fired for her incompetence. She is mean spirited and what she says is inaccurate. Bring your dogs to Luv A Pup. I know you will be happy you did.

Painted Desert Dog Grooming
I have taken my dog to several different groomers. They have either been negligent on what I requested or my dog has been to afraid to go back. When I take him to Painted Desert he isn't afraid, he has a great haircut, is clean, and I can pick him up in a couple of hours. He is treated good. I've recommended this business to several friends and I will keep doing it. I also have a dog with special needs and she is treated with such diginity & consideration. I would give this business 5 stars.

Distinctive Dogs Academy
For anyone who wants to learn to groom the safe, correct way, this school is a MUST. Unfortunately, anyone today can pick up a pair of scissors and call themselves a groomer. So being taught correctly is extremely important. Cindie makes sure everyone learns to groom all breeds and is taught all safety measures necessary. I've been working as a groomer since I graduated and my clients and my employers tell me what a great job I am doing. I owe that to Cindie and Distinctive Dogs Academy!

Bark Place
Very friendly and caring toward my 2 poodles. When I first started going there my 2 poodles were scared of all groomers, because of bad experiences from going to PetSmart & this woman named Darcy. That was 2 years ago, now they love going to the groomers and love the people at Bark Place. That's all I really care about is that they are friendly to my pets and treat them with love and they do.

K-9's and Kitty's
I absolutely love this store and its staff, I took my dog to get groomed it was my first time there and I was a little nervous because of a bad experience at a previous groom shop. Ashley ensured me it all be OK and that she would take good care of my baby. He was only there for a little over an hour and looked WONDERFUL!!! I won't be going anywhere else from now on :)

K-9's and Kitty's
Absolutely the BEST place to buy your pet food and even vitamins!! The owner and staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. I came ten minutes before they were due to close, and the owner talked with me for an additional 45 minutes explaining various dog foods and solutions for my pet. I will never go anywhere else. They're simply the best!!
Tips & Advices
Some pet groomers have viewing areas where owners can sit and watch their pets being treated. Most prevent owners from being in the same room as the pet, however, as the owner's presence might cause the pet to become too excited.
Pets that cannot interact with strangers do not make good professional grooming candidates. Sometimes medication can help, but some groomers don't take animals that have been sedated. If a pet becomes too unruly, a groomer may end the session entirely.
It's best to fully vaccinate pets before bringing them to their first grooming appointment. Dogs should receive the DA2PPC vaccine, which stands for canine distemper, canine andenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus, and parainfluenza. It's also a good idea to vaccinate dogs against Bordedatella (aka “kennel cough”). In fact, New York City requires dogs receive both DAPP and Bordetella shots. Cats, meanwhile, should get the FVRCP vaccine: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection, and panleukopenia. In addition, all pets should be up to date on their rabies shots. Owners should wait at least 24 hours after getting their pet vaccinated before bringing it to the groomers.
Technically, there is no such thing as a pet that is too old for a professional groomer. In fact, older pets with joint or mobility issues often can't groom themselves and need someone else to clean them. However, pets that are blind, deaf, or have serious medical issues might not do well at a groomer, especially if the person is inexperienced. Owners should feel free to ask potential groomers about their understanding of elderly pet issues. Often, older pets will exhibit puppy-like behavior and squirm or yelp during grooming. Alternatively, they might not be able to stand for long periods of time. As such, grooming an older pet usually takes more time than grooming a young one.
Puppies and kittens should be at least 10 weeks old before their first professional grooming session. They should be used to being gently handled by strangers and comfortable being separated from their owners for a few hours at a time.
