Palm Tree
I contacted this business April 26th to have some palm trees cut down. They gave me an estimate and strung me along saying they were going to do the job on Saturday May 6th. They never showed up or even called. When I contacted them, they said they were sorry but couldn't do the job. This is after I had turned now three other companies. Now I can't meet the deadline I had to get the trees removed.

Total Tree Removal
FIRST AND FOREMOST-NOT LICENSED TO WORK IN HENDERSON! This man is one of the most volatile person I have ever encountered in my life! This guy was hired to do a job to remove a tree in MY home in Henderson in 8/2015 and as of 3/2017 is still NOT licensed to work in Henderson-That means YOU are liable if he OR his worker get hurt on YOUR property! This can be verified with the city of Henderson. NEVER use an unlicensed company! He was almost an hour late and when he finally got to MY home, came into MY gated yard without notice (calling/ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door). I have dogs and thankfully they were not out. He had a nasty attitude from the moment he opened his mouth. I tried to explain what was to be done and he told me "don't tell me how to do my job!". It only got worse as a neighbor's dog entered my yard as he had ALL 3 gates open to my yard and made my dogs get extremely aggitated. I stepped out the door but never came completely out to ask him if it was his dog and he then verbally assaulted me with, "Get the F*^$ back in your house!" He repeated this at least a 1/2 dozen times along with other threats. I told him that if my husband was home he wouldn't talk to him that way and he said "Oh yes the F&*$ I would!" He is not only verbally abusive, unprofessional, but has NO business being in business as he did a lousy job, left a huge mess leaving large rutts the length of my yard from dragging a stump, left my hose across the yard which he did NOT ask to use and all my gates open (I have proof of pictures and video of the condition he left my yard in!) My husband rushed home when I called him as I was in fear of my life. Not to mention, animal lovers out there, he INTENTIONALLY left ALL my gates open so that my dogs could get out, when he scurried away to avoid my husband who he knew was coming home. He is a coward and not man enough to speak to my husband, that's why he left in a hurry without even being paid, sent his worker back, he's lucky my husband DID pay him in CASH, no receipt, no record, figure that one out!I even called the police for his verbal threats (while holding his chain saw!) So NOW there is a police incident on record. Things would be very different had I had video of you threatening me! Use this company, you WILL be sorry! Luckily, we have moved since then and now don't have any trees! He has a history of an aggressive attitude and there are other reviews with similiar experiences.I am not the only one and sure I won't be the last!

Great experience with Treepro! Ron was so friendly and knew his stuff. I called with a question about my palm trees. They offered to come to my house and give me a free estimate. They were there later that day! They scheduled the job for the next week. They were on time, professional and gave me a great price! I already recommended then to all mt neighbors.

Tips & Advices
Do your due diligence and always ask for proof of insurance and certification before agreeing to any work. You will also want to be on the lookout for telltale signs of scams and be cautious of any company that:
  • Will not provide you with a certificate of their insurance policy or only has general liability coverage
  • Declines to give you a written estimate for the job
  • Gives you bids that either seem very low or very high
  • Contacted you out of the blue to see if you needed their services
  • Has complaints against it from business bureaus in your area
  • Asks for payment before starting work
  • Doesn't have a fixed physical address
Tree service companies are also great places to get your wood if you happen to have a fireplace. Many tree businesses offer free delivery and stacking of hardwoods, such as maple or birch. These can make for the best firewood because they burn slowly and don't produce as much smoke as other types.
If you want to add to the greenery in your yard but you're concerned about the right species to plant or where to put it on your property, seek the advice of an arborist.
If a storm hits and damages your residence, a tree service professional is usually on your list of people to call for help after first responders and your insurer. A professional service can completely remove a tree or just prune and saw off its branches if a storm damages a tree. After sawing or destroying the tree, professionals can then remove any of the dangerous debris from your yard by hauling it off.
Some bugs burrow through the bark and damage hardwood and softwood trees. Depending on the species of trees in your yard and the region of the country you live in, aphids, the infamous emerald ash borer or other pests could destroy your healthy trees.
