24/7 Electrical Services LLC
It's hard to find a good contractor in Las Vegas and it's even harder to find competent, friendly and safe electricians so I am so happy I found 24-7 Electrical Services! I wanted to write this review in case you're looking for reliable electrical work -- this is the place you want to call. We've had Rene and Jesus out to work on three different projects at our house and every single time we have been phenomenally pleased with not only the consistent quality of their work, but their friendly and caring attitudes towards us, our home and our pets. They've installed two heavy-duty plugs and have replaced a breaker and the prices were fair and reasonable and the work was done quickly and correctly the first time.Best of all, they show up exactly on time and when they say they will. You don't even get a several hour window of time, it's an exact time and they are always here like clockwork. I mean, when can you say that ever happens with contractors in this town?Just today the guys installed a new ceiling plug for my home theater projector. They personally hauled out the extra insulation and bagged it up nicely for me and to top it off, they ran the vacuum cleaner when they were finished! That's red carpet service right there.I don't have enough positive things to say about this business. Even the owner personally calls to make sure you're happy with the work quality. Thanks for the great job, guys. You will be our electricians for life!

Hot Connection Electric Inc.
Wow,I must say, that Mark @ Hot Connection Electric really came through for us when we needed him most. Our main line snapped just before the Holidays and we were without any main power for days while we got bid after bid from super expensive electricians. Then finally someone told us to call Hot Connection Electric and were we ever happy that we did. He saved us from staying in a hotel while without power and hot water, since our hot water tank is electric. The best part was he saved us about $5,000.00. Hot Connection Electric was the best Holiday Gift that year for us. Mark at Hot Connection Electric got the job done, ahead of schedule and left everything better than when he found it. If only all contractors were as good, honest and reliable as Mark is at Hot Connection Electric, what a wonderful world it would be.Many Many thanks.I give Hot Connection Electric a perfect 10.

Litchy Electric
I called Mike with Litchy Electric first thing in the morning with a problem with my ceiling fan. He was efficient, friendly and most of all answered the phone. Most places go straight to voicemail these days. He said that he could have an electrician come out at 1pm that day, another plus as others I had contacted wanted to make it for later in the week or next week in general.Dave arrived promptly at 1 pm as Mike had said. He was very courteous, friendly, and efficient. He even took a moment to play with our new puppy during the job. He answered all my questions and a short time later my fan was working just fine. I would certainly recommend Litchy Electric to anyone out there looking for fair and honest electricians. I will certainly use them again for all my electrical needs.

24/7 Electrical Services LLC
I had been looking for an electrician but could not get anyone to return my call. Roland at 24/7 Electrical Services answered my call on the second ring and came out the very same day. He helped me figure out a solution to my problem and was honest and reasonable with his pricing. He even went the extra mile and helped me hang a light fixture. I will definitely use 24/7 Electrical Services for all my future electrical needs and will refer anyone who is looking to this company. Thanks guys!

Pacific Electric
The best! Pacific Electric is the #1 company I will trust here in Las Vegas. I had so many bad experiences with different companies but never once got disappointed by Pacific Electric. They are on time, their work is done very clean and professionally. This company is rated 5 stars and up. The service manager Mr. Gary is very polite to all their customers and is a great pleasure to work with and to experience Pacific Electric. Thank you - and we are looking forward to new jobs - Mariam Eagles.

Pacific Electric
SIMPLY THE BEST!!Pacific Electric is by far the best electrical co. I have ever dealt with!Don, the electrician, diagnosed and quickly fixed an electrical outage to a pond pump.He was most pleasant, efficient, and knowledgable . I learned a lot from him on how to reduce the electrical bill thru alternative lighting, more efficient A/C, etc.I would recommend them to anyone, especially Don!Terry M

24/7 Electrical Services LLC
We lost power on the weekend this Summer and did not know what to do. It was hot outside and with no A/C we were very uncomfortable. We called 24/7 Electrical Services and they came out on an Emergency basis, found the problem and fixed it on the spot! They were fast and very professional. I highly recommend them for any electrical service need you may have!

Tips & Advices
Keep the following tips in mind:
  • Do not operate any electrical equipment while sitting or standing in water.
  • Don't overload extension cords or surge protectors.
  • Put caps on your electrical outlets if you have small children.
  • Call an electrician if you notice your sockets or switches are warm to the touch, discolored or if they make noise.
  • Keep electrical cords away from stoves, ovens and other sources of heat.
  • Do not use an appliance that has a frayed cord.
  • Do not staple extension cords into place or cover them with carpets or furniture.
  • When using extension cords, make sure to unwrap them before plugging them in.
  • Don't overuse extension cords. Have an electrician install extra outlets if you need a power source closer to you.
  • Only use light bulbs with the correct wattage for your lamps and light fixtures.
  • Contact a licensed electrician if you frequently blow fuses, since this can be a sign of an electrical wiring problem.
  • Have an electrician look at your fuse box to ensure you have the right size fuses and circuit breakers. The wrong size fuse or breaker can be a fire hazard.
  • If you have fault circuit interrupters installed in your electrical panel, make sure you test them at least once a month by turning them on and off.
It can cost from $40-$100 an hour depending on the job. This does not include additional costs for parts or trip fees. Make sure to ask in advance what they charge for or if they will provide a free quote.
In order to become a full-fledged professional, a person must undergo an apprenticeship with master and journeyman electricians. An apprentice needs 8,000 hours of practical work before graduating to the journeyman level. If an apprentice reaches journeyman status, he or she can complete most electrical work, but cannot design it until completing more testing along with 2,000 more on-the-job hours.
Yes. While all electricians need a license, not all of them do the same types of jobs.
  • Outside: These types of electricians work outdoors on electrical lines that connect to power plants.
  • Inside: Inside experts typically focus on commercial and industrial buildings that require a lot of power.
  • Residential: Residential electricians work with low-voltage systems and wiring to install fuse boxes and light fixtures.
Watch out for contractors that greatly underbid other electricians. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Also, always remember to get the estimate in writing before settling on a company.
